Clearly the SEC would be viewed as a stronger league if A&M and Mizzou were winless.

No, CFB Teams are made from their experiences
And not what some team did 3 or 10 years ago
Maybe 3-4 years with a heavy Senior class involved

Both Texas A&M & Missouri are becoming tougher/better from playing an SEC gauntlet now. Texas A&M had the drive to stick it to Texas that 1st off-season and that helped them. Plus, a new HC & JFT didn't hurt either. But now that both Texas A&M & Missouri have had 1 1/2 yr in the SEC, they'll continue to grow or they'll fail. When someone wants to become the best chess-player. They play the best chess-players to become just that. The SEC works the same, and either you'll sink or swim in this league. Clemson has played many SEC teams lately, and it's working out for them from doing so. They've reached the heights needed after realizing the work it takes to do so. Clemson looks the part....

What's the saying ???
"To be the best, you've got to beat the best"
Well this works too.............
"To be the best, you've got to play the best"

2013 SEC first conference to ever have 8 teams in top 25....

Did that happen without aTm and Mizzou???

Fun fact: Missouri has 4 total SEC wins against Georgia, Vanderbilt, Tennessee and Kentucky
Actually Mizzou has an all time winning record against SEC teams but flame on.

We still outscored Georgia 13-0 with a freshman backup QB.

I wasn't trying to take anything away from the win yesterday, but it's not like I'm the only one in the country who has mentioned how banged up that Georgia offense is. As somebody else has said in this thread, Mizzou still only has 4 SEC wins, aside from UGA they've beaten UK, UT, and Vandy which is why I said maybe we should pump the breaks a little bit on them until they can follow up the UGA win with some more quality ones.

Hell no, they're adding to it! As members, they've upped their game, they're adding to their stadiums and becoming more and more worth of being in the SEC... As they play more out of conference teams they just add to our "mystique"...

They joined the SEC at a good time.

A&M got Manziel, they'd be a 6-6 team without him.

Also lots of SEC schools are down right now from their usual.

And what has Mizzou really done? They were terrible last year. They had a big win yesterday for them, but that was a depleted UGA team. Let's pump the brakes on Mizzou until they beat a couple more big time teams.

Good grief just give it up. You all on the Rant will always find some way to continue to put down Mizzou. Endlessly grasping for straws.

We played the whole previous season depleted (QB and OLine destroyed by injuries), so don't pull that shite.

Mizzou was injury depleted last year but they were terrible.

Georgia is injury depleted and that's the only reason they lost to Mizzou.

Is that correct?

I think it probably does vindicate a lot of Big-12 fans thoughts that their offenses would run wild on SEC defenses.

However, I think in the last 3-5 years we've seen offenses become exponentially more dynamic in all leagues and defenses just haven't yet caught up. There are a lot of young defenses in this league this year as well with some veteran, heady and just plain great qb's.

Yes, terribly embarrassing to have the #7 and #14 ranked programs in our conference.

Mike Slive is brilliant for adding both squads to the conference. Looks even more brilliant now that Mizzou has been kicking some arse so far. Shame they lost their QB.

Hellacious new recruiting reach. Added lots of tradition with A&M. And we added two real teams with a pulse.

Not a knock to Mizzou at all, but to say that the A&M fans fit right in with the other SEC fans is an understatement. It's as if they've always been a part of it. They seem every bit as passionate.

The no female cheerleader thing is a tradition that needs some amending though. Those guys in the overalls are queer as a baseball bat.
