I like how you imply that LSU is anywhere remotely as dominant a program as Bama. It's a solid troll really. The answer is the championship is going to be Bama vs someone every year and every once in a while it will be LSU.

Well one team we definately know it is not going to be is Arkansas so there is that.

not this ship nonsense again. If you can't say championship you don't deserve it. Just like if you say scholly they should take yours away.

Anyone can use an arbitrary time frame to support their argument. That shite is weak

Agree, who started that anyway? The first I heard it was a group of ND students chanting "going to the ship..."

If LSU is not on Bama's level, what college football programs are on their level?

Florida

LSU has won 5 SEC Western crowns and Bama has won 4 SEC Western crowns since 1999.

Florida has 5 as well LINK

Bama has won 3 BCS Championships, and LSU has won 2 BCS Championships since 1999.

Florida has 2 as well. FWIW, Alabama has 4 NCs since 1992, Florida has 3, and LSU has 2.

quote:

Bama is the only school to ever win a BCS Championship without winning their conference championship because LSU beat Bama for the SEC Western Crown in 2011.

And LSU is the only school to ever win a BCS Championship with two regular season losses. How could a 2-loss team possibly belong in the BCS Championship, let alone win it? Oh wait, they played OSU. And please Big-10 fan, tell me more about conference championships...

How can a Big-10 fan know more about SEC football than a very large segment of the Gump Nation on the RANT?

Ohio State should know plenty about SEC football. Especially when it comes to bowl games and national championships. 0-10 vs. SEC

In all seriousness, if anyone is "on Bama's level" (or close), it's Florida and LSU. But seriously, GTFO Ohio State...

There's nothing delusional about it. LSU fans start these threads frequently. "LSU & Bama"

GTFO. LSU hasn't done anything worth bragging about since 2007.

For the time being it might look that way. Nothing lasts forever in football. Would you have said in 1997 are Florida and Tennessee are destined to meet each other in the playoffs every year? it looked that way. How about UGA and AU in 1983? It looked that way with UGA winning 3 straight SEC's and playing for the Natty 2 of 3 years and outside shot at the 81 title on New Years day. How about Nebraska and Florida State circa 1987 to 1995? It looked that way then but not today.
Now UT is maybe a minor bowl team and Florida, while good isn't nearly the team they were under Spurrier and Meyer. Same with AU...right now but it could change tomorrow in the world of football. No team stays on top forever So....no, it will not be Bama and LSU. Not every year.

Alabama is a really solid program, but I dont think they are as dominate as they are made out to be. Sure they won the past 3 of 4 National Championships and that is a remarkable accomplishment, but going .500 against ranked teams in the regular season the last 2 years is not that impressive. If bama played even a slightly more difficult schedule I doubt they would of even made it to a BCS game last year. 2011 was an awesome team for Bama but we all know the controversy surrounding that BCSNCG appearance

The fact that Bama has been in position to be in the National Championship game 3 out of 4 years (really 4 out of 5 if we look at the 2008 undefeated regular season and #1 vs #2 matchup with Florida) makes them dominant.

If bama is so tough how come they don't schedule ULM any more as a cop cake?
