Nope, not pissed.
I figured as much. Harlan is a moron.

The OP is asking a valid question, fwiw. A question that people are dodging like Roger.

No, not angry. So many wins and titles in the past few years who could be mad about that. When Cal leaves/ retires I feel like it will leave us in a pretty deep hole though in regards to talent (on the sideline and on the court).
Not really part of the question but Kentucky accents do vary greatly from East to West and most certainly from North to South. I have an in between accent. When I'm at work I suppress certain words and try to speak properly. When I'm at home or with my friends it gets worse I suppose.
I asked a coworker "Djeet yet?" earlier and he looked at me like I was speaking another language then made me repeat myself. :)

As far as the accent, I grew up in western KY and lived here most my life except for a few periods in that hell hole St Louis, MO. We in west KY have the same accent as those in SE Missouri, southern IL and west TN. So if you want to make fun of us, you can make fun of all 4 states.
As far as Calipari, I didn't like him at Memphis so why should I like him just because UK hired him? NO, I can't stand the greaseball yankee and wish so bad he'd take the Laker job..

Quite simply, while I respect Tubby Smith, I lived through a decade of 10 losses and getting bounced before the Elite Eight more often that not. Throw Gillispie in there and I'm pretty ecstatic with Calipari and his philosophy. Does it drive you a little crazy during the regular season? Sure. But it's made for some damn good postseason play.
The irony of it is that if you ask some of the same UK fans who aren't fans of the one and done who their favorite players are they'll likely mention guys like Jamal Mashburn who didn't spend 4 years at UK either. I'll always be a Wall, Davis, MKG, Knight, Randle, etc fan.
Fans are probably more pissed about Calipari's scheduling tactics (lots of neutral site games) then they are the one and dones.
ETA: I'm convinced Jersey accents are worse. Accents here are pretty mild in comparison to deeper south.

Accents are no indication of one's intelligence.

Obviously. But if we're debating the "that accent makes people assume they're dumb" as the KC radio guy suggested, Southern isn't alone as some will suggest.
ETA: Edit, wasn't referring to the poster but the guy quoted.

Why are Missouri fans so obsessed with UK? Do they not know we are not KU?

Your obsession with UK is well documented on this board. We are flattered, I guess.

From a basketball perspective, I've found Kentucky fans, as a whole, to be probably the most knowledgeable college basketball fans that I have met.....and pretty nice folks.
