Is track and field even televised?

Yes. Us winning yet another NC was on ESPN over the weekend.

Was it before the Women's Professional Bowling Tourney or after?

When is the SI commemorative issue coming out?

My guess is 3. I bet you would trade all of those TFC's for just 3 extra football titles spaced between 1969 and today.
None. Ergo T&F>Football

More impressive? No. More relevant? Hell yes. Nobody gives a frick about track and field.

Anyone can and has awarded Football championships over the years, even retroactively, they don't mean anything, they are not real.

So Dale, are you happy with the way this year turned out? You got a NC in track and had a joke of a football season. That tops a NC in football?

I bet if you polled people, 90% or more couldn't tell you who won the last or any NCAA Track and Field Championships. LSU obviously has a great track program, but even when I was in college, I heard it referenced maybe once.

You may be right but I would personally rather see my school win a NC in football as opposed to T&F. This might not be how 100% of the U.S. population feels but any RANTer is lying to themselves if they don't agree.

This is a coming of age thread. One of those classic Disney types.

running isn't a sport.

It's a part of football practice.

You're thinking of Missouri. Not track and field.

Do you throw a discus during football practice?

What about a javelin?

Or poll vaulting? Do you do that in practice?

We talkin' 'bout practice.

LSU, like Arkansas has multiple NC in T&F. That being said, a NC in football is WAY more impressive. Not even close.
