How is this even a question? In Europe, sure track and field is more impressive than football...last time I checked, Arkansas is in the U.S., where football, baseball, and basketball are the top 3 sports. Impressive, yes. More impressive than 24 college football championships, absolutely not. Especially when you're counting indoor and outdoor championships separately, which is the exact same thing..

I think that being better than 119 programs may be easier than being better than 339 programs.

Baseball is just a bunch of standing around the majority of the time.

If Tony Gwynn's fat arse can make it into the hall of fame, it is not a real sport.

Indoor and outdoor track are two different things. Why do you think they have two different names?

If you are 18 and weren't alive/aware when Tony Gwynn was actually an athlete, did it not happen?

It would appear that way. Not only is Arkansas beating more programs, but they've come in 1st more times than the school boasting coming in first over 119 other programs. It would seem to be that Arkansas has the more impressive resume.

Thanks for making my point, he didn't have to remain an athlete to stay in MLB and make the HOF, some sport.

The fact you even know the answer to the above is pretty sad.

I ran track in high school (4x4, 1600, 3200). It was a fun sport that I (mainly) used to stay in shape.
