you do realize teams like marshall and E Carolina are going to throw everything and the kitchen sink at va tech...bama did run a very vanilla offense against tech and that is evident in the playcalling between the tech and aTm games. not saying techs defense is elite by any means but when you run the ball 3 times up the middle you can bet your going to have low offensive output

that in turn is going to lead to misleading defensive stats and make a defense look better than what it really is

Who would you consider an elite D this season, Rick?

No but some did say best defensive line. NO Bama fans said that would be the best D we would play all year.

It's only week 3. UF is the only defense that hasn't been exposed at some point. I know va tech isn't one. Marshall move the ball pretty well and scored 3 offensive TDs on their first string def.

And Marshall's offense averaged something like 4.4 yards per play (which along with 21 points would place them as one of the worst offenses in the nation). They had three drives the whole game (all three TDs) where their offense did anything at all.

What's lost by everyone else is that bama played more vanilla than blue bell on offense in that game. You're too dense to realize that though

what's lost is that you idiots actually believe this

Well I'd say Tech has more of an argument sitting at #2 in total D than, say, #59.

We only had 62 offensive plays against VT.

We ran 38 times and passed only 24.

So we ran twice as much as we passed. Yeah we really pulled out the whole playbook on that one.

Dipshit.

I don't celebrate subjective national titles. I only care about SEC titles. You know that title teams don't get VOTED into.

Why do I have a feeling you are scurrying to your posting history now to delete all references to NCs...

I meant we ran a lot more than we passed and yeah I was thinking 48 but still, the point you were trying to make was BS.

You won't find one. Since 2004 I haven't cared about bcs titles. They are subjective and have an ever changing way of determine the participants. The only title your team has complete control over is the SEC title.

So you're admitting a crappy offense had 3 scoring drives against what is thought of as an elite defense?

Yes some Bama fans said it was the best defense they will face. The same defense that didnt have ONE returning all acc defender and 9 returning starters that gave up 48 to UNC.

Why is an LSU fan starting a thread about an irrelevant game that Alabama played 3 weeks ago? Lawd.

I think today's game ended that.
Your team is undefeated and playing a big SEC game today, but you still can't stop thinking about Bama.

Bama has moved on from that game, LSU fans can't let go.
