Apparently, Saban takes his Bonus money and puts in back into the Program.

Was listening to a radio show the other day and they said that when Saban gets the bonuses from winning SEC Championships, National Championships, etc that are built into his contract... he puts the money back into the program for coaches and assistants raises.
Do most coaches do that?
Either way, it's pretty smart and a good investment.

Someone needs to help pay for the players other than the boosters. I would imagine the payroll is getting pretty bulky.

It is more common these days for this to happen. It allows for them to hire th extra assistants you see in the bigger programs building relationships and assisting in the booth during games.
