Ohio State makes history as 1st school to be unanimous pick in AP preseason football poll

How much Northern bias went into that?

I see you're practicing your excuses early this season.

I have a hard time believing that Tennessee is better than Texas A&M. Unfortunately, we won't get the chance to find out.

Good news for the Aggies is if they win one game, they will be firmly on the Top 25. I'd guess around 18 or 19.

It's obvious they thought Mizzouri, Tennessee, MSU and A&M were all a crap-shoot, because they put you all together. They don't like to rank more then 8 SEC teams, even if they deserve to be, so A&M and MSU ended up 26th and 27th, just outside the poll.

so, the sports writers all got together to make sure that too many SEC teams did not get ranked?

Take your own advice.

I agree that Ohio State is loaded and that they deserve to be #1. I just don't think Northern writers would ever all agree to vote a Southern team #1, as Southern writers obviously did for Ohio State here. Can you tell me that recent Alabama teams didn't deserve it as much as Ohio State does today?

Nope. It's just gonna be easier to make a case for 2015 Alabama being the GOAT when it goes 15-0 and wins the national championship this year.

Of course not! I'm just noting a trend with the system. Collectively, it seems they don't want more then 1/3 of the poll being SEC teams, so they stick with 8. I believe there have been 9 when necessitated, but there have also been times when there should have been 9-10, but they'd only rank 8.

AU plays 3,9,14,17,18

AU will play 9 again or possibly 24,25

AU will play 2 of the following

1,2,4,7,10,11

Will have to play A&M, MSU, UL

Gonna be a fun year and can't wait. I am standing on 15 pins and needles with zero chances of getting hurt.

lol.....they lost 6 starters from their very average defense last year and they lost 7 starters from last years offense. I don't think it's disrespect.

Ignorance? Lack of research?

I watched just about every single game last year from each SEC team. In all reality they will miss only a couple of those "starters".

They're damn sure a better team than anything the Sooners will field this year.

Yes I can... Bama has won BIG with a bunch of sr. players... They have NOT started ANY season with the Talent that OSU has this year.............. They have ended up with some awesome teams, But top to bottm OSU is fricking LOADED........... Aside from MSU they should be at least a 10-12 point fav in every game........ Last ime that happened was Oregon in 2013.........

but Notre Dame and LSU. COME. ON. huge names and huge recruiters who were exceptionally mediocre last year.

honest question, what teams below LSU do you honestly think are better? sec west will be tough, but I think LSU finishes around 10-12 this season.

Arkansas, Ok St, Boise (due to never losing) Ga Tech and possibly Penn St.

Notre Dame is a fraud, LSU has incredible talent but schematically fails to properly use QB position, of which you have serious roster concerns this year. I think that will cost LSU a lot of games. of course the difference between 8-4 unranked and 10-2 ranked in top 10 is just two games.
