Yeah, I noticed that right away. That's ridiculous, but I still want to buy him a beer.

ETA: My man is Josh Kendall from The State in Columbia, S.C. If Josh shows up for the Halloween game I'll definitely buy him a beer or 10.

So 4-1 with the only loss to a Top 15 team by a TD apparently doesn't get you votes. Come on AP.

We went from 2 to 12 after losing to what the pollsters thought was the number 3 team.

8 is actually about right for Bama. I said anywhere from 6-8 and they are now modeling this poll based on what they have just seen. Not the AP poll we all remember.

I like the Utah move too. People are underestimating how good that team is.

And? That precipitates an 11 spot fall, after losing to a team these same voters deem the 8th best team in america?

These people are idiots.

Bama dropped from 2 or 3 to 12 or 13 with a 6 point loss and a chance to win. It's not unprecedented.
That said this poll means nothing outside of billing for future match ups.

See, this type of thinking is the problem. Whatever happened to taking the results on the field and earning your way? Who gives a flying frick who the media things is the best team, you lose, you drop below undefeated teams period.

No this type of thinking is ludicrous. Not all teams and or schedules are created equally. Just because you are undefeated doesn't mean youre the better team. There are plenty of examples to the contrary.

So Clemson and ND play each other to the wire and Clemson jumps 6 spots and ND falls 9? So Clemson is either way better than they thought or ND is a lot worse than they thought. How can it be both when they played to the last second

Clemson would have been in the top 5 this year starting with the first poll if they were in the SEC. Much more talent on offense than the SC team that was preseason no. 4 two years ago prior to the Texas AM massascre.

So you are just better with giving teams a ranking based on what? It should be earned on the field and not be some beauty contest. I think there should be none of this ranking shite until at least after the halfway point. Or, better yet, get rid of them altogether and make conference championships mean something.

Its bull shite having 2 Big Ten teams in top four. SEC would chew them up and spit them out.

Oh okay hoss. Last year the bowl games showed you otherwise. Keep believing your nonsensical drivel.

And Wisconsin will soon go into the tank showing everyone that they were fraudulent, and not a quality Bama win.

Just like Northwestern will by the end of the season. Big10 has one legit team this season and it is a toss-up between 2 teams that seem to be either playing down to their opponents or are completely overrated in a 2nd tier conference.

I hate Baylor but they are the most impressive team I've watched this year. They should be number 1. I pray we both somehow make the playoffs and square off.

I'd LOVE to see that!

what an absolute fricking joke.

We drop 11 spots for losing to a team currently ranked 8th?

Bama beat the piss out of UGA. You really don't understand the huge fall? Really?

Yeap 44-22. Les pulls the mercy kneel instead of going up 51-22. Totally a struggle.

Coming in to the season most people thought that UGA would have one or 2 losses.

Nobody thought we'd be in a game that we got embarrassed, but one or tow L's was the consensus.

11 is a lot to drop, but at least our friends in west GA still have the distinction of owning the largest drop ever.

Good ole Aubbie fell 18 after they got exposed against LSU, and then went on to continue playing unimpressive and shaky football.

Still ranked. Got 10 R C next week.

Beat the hillbillies, get to live the dream at least 1 more week.

Then beat Meth'zurra.

THEN our season comes down to the WLOCP.

Same as it ever was...

I agree, Kentucky should at least get votes. but the near loss last week is hurting you.

My opinion:
Utah, Clemson, and LSU have earned top 5 rankings. Michigan State and OSU should be mid top 10 at best. TCU should have a loss and are overvalued. Baylor should be right behind the three I mentioned above.
