I think it good for them to get recognition, but they don't deserve a BCS title game shot. Neither does Cinncy or TCU. Let them play in a real conference then run their mouths. It's alot easier to be up for one game a year, but play in the PAC-10 and play Oregon then come back and go on the road to USC or Arizona I gurantee they would not be undefeated.

definitly agree with you, all it would take is an oregon loss and boise would be screwed, their fate rest as much on oregon as it does on them

they have lucked up and oregon got their shite together

19-8 isn't that bad of a whipping if you ask me.

If you watched the game it was much worse than the score. That said, screw Boise and that field is an affront to football.

i know. we already talked about that fact. but there is still a bottom line... they only scored 19 points. it's not that impressive no matter how many yards you get. you can be dominant all game long and get 500 yards, but if their defense keeps you from scoring... you gotta be doin SOMETHING right... and like we said, oregon got their shite together after that game. they simply weren't ready for their first game.

I laugh when I read that Utah and Boise should stop whiing and join the Pac 10. Ummm, were they invited to join? You just don't show up and say we're here. The Pac10 has to decide to expand. If they did would they take Boise over BYU. Doubt it BYU and Utah are rivals and make more sense.

there are a LOT of colleges that would seem just as "good" if they had the schedule advantages that boise state has.

not only do i agree with this but it is the heart of the arguement. yes, these teams can beat a bcs team occasionally, but so can miami of ohio or appalachian state. arkansas, ole miss, south carolina and other sec teams would go 10-2, or 11-1 every year with their schedule. i guess that's why they bust their balls to schedule bcs teams every year. as it stands, they get thrown a bone every now and then.

I don't hate them, but I sure do think they are tacky and over rated.

Boise vs. Iowa would be a good morning hungover bowl game to watch when I'm not really interested and just want background noise from overpaid ESPN guys

It's one thing to plan for for long periods of time, and win one game against competitive competition. It's another to go out every week, get banged up, and have to play up to standard every week to barely scrape out wins against teams loaded with future NFL talent.

For the record.. Notre Dame doesn't do a bad job of scheduling a relatively competitive schedule as independents... maybe Boise should think of doing the same...

Boise couldn't even join the mwc, all they have to offer is a football team. Boise will never get the chance to join the pac ten, their best bet is the mwc but I doubt that ever happens either.

Nope. Like them. Hope they play FL/Bama in NC ahead of other BCS teams.

Utah of last year was just better than Boise of this year, just a higher caliber of athlete. TCU too, they'd beat Boise at Boise.

I hate that fuggin blue field.

As far as liking the team, I don't think they are important enough to really like or dislike...unless they were playing Louisville or Tennessee. Then I'd be one of their biggest fans.

I do hate them b/c they always want to be included in the nat'l championship game but they never play anybody. I can't blame em though, no upper-echelon teams will schedule them. They should move to a BCS conference with TCU, Utah, Fresno St., and other proven mid-majors

YES! very much so. They are like a very nagging and persistant mosquito. Someone just needs to swat 'em down and we won't hear from them again. For a while it looked like an excessively pitiful LaTech would do it last night.

Don't hate them. Think they are good enough to play with most of the big boys for one game, like a season opener or a bowl game, but wouldn't survive in a real conference.
