You see, I might do something like that only if she wasn't on the team

All 6'7" of her.

Luckily she's a senior, so if I did this for next year she wouldn't be there

well from what ive heard Sherell and Re-Re Hobbs were the ones to watch out for. They werent that big but they were solid muscle and they went all out every second even in pactice. My roommate would come back from practice with huge bruises on his arms and you could tell he was sore from getting hit and it was always one of those 2. But Sherel has graduated and I dont think Re-Re will play bball again because of her knees.

So the level of competition that makes up these practice squads is pretty legit? I figured not that many people would know about it and therefore it wouldn't be that difficult to make the team

they are always looking for more people. the managers usually end up having to play because not enough people are there. theres usually a good number the first few practices and then they slowly start leaving. they dont give out much free stuff in the beginning anymore because people would show for a week and then leave with all the free stuff. they really need post players because most of the time the biggest guy will only be 6'2 or 6'3

a lot of the guys that do it are graduating this year though so im sure they will need a lot more.

Well if figured they would use me either as a guard or a forward considering I'm only about 6'1"

My roommate freshman year did this for Tennessee's team. He was a high school player. He received some free Tennessee gear including shoes and some shirts for his time, and I'm not sure if he got paid at all (I don't think so).

Anyways, he said they beat their arse all day. Then again this was during Candace Parker's reign.

EDIT: By they, I mean the women beat their arse.

I know a guy who did this at Duke. It was basically a bunch of private school guys that chose to go to Duke over playing at a small school. I heard in a real scrimmage, they were better than the girls. Duke was in the top ten at the time.

This is completely normal. One of my buddies played in high school and he ended up making the "team". This was a few years ago when Georgia was really good, like in the top 10, and I asked him if he was gonna be embarassed when they lost to a group of girls. He said they could've basically named their score against them. This ragtag group of guys who may or may not have played high school ball absolutely dominated a top 10 women's college team on a daily basis.
