I just slapped these butts on my Smokey Mountain Cooker. At about 7 lbs each, and being at 5500 elevation, these things probably have about 12 hours to go.

The one that looks naked, it's rubbed with only Conecuh seasoning. I'm not sure what kind of bark to expect, but frick it, it's Conecuh seasoning, how bad can it be?

Anyone else up late, manning a smoker? I'm sure there are a few cooks outside of the food board that have big plans today, in the kitchen.

Will do. I even whipped up two homemade sauces today. One's a Kansas City style, one a Carolina Piedmont style. You can't half arse it on opening weekend. Especially when your team is in the only matchup between ranked teams.

I tried to find some badger meat, but couldn't find a source here in a Colorado. I had to settle on buying some skunk.

What I need is a legit Cochon de Lait recipe. That, with some Crystal, is as good of bbq as I've eaten anywhere in the country.

I'm way more excited than I should be to smell the grilling in the air on campus game day. Best part of the year.

I've never said this before, but I don't think I have the proper equipment to handle that arse.

If I did, I'd ride her long and deep into the night.
