It had nothing to do with McElroy's playing career. He wouldn't hold a grudge like that, but for a guy who will be an analyst on the SEC network, the comment McElroy made was pretty silly.

I don't agree with what McElroy said BUT why is Les all of a sudden a bitch about it? Works perfectly for Greg's career and gets ESPN a lot of attention. Is Greg = Little Finebaum?!

It didn't. Unless you call Greg McElroy getting a lot of attention a bad thing in the media. Les Miles did Greg a favor. I don't think LSU fans realize this point. They desperately want to "beat Bama" at anything.

Saban has at least 4 titles attributed to him. So he can probably live off those a lot longer you know.

McElroy on national TV basically said Les should contribute his success to Saban.

While I understand Saban gave the program a resurgence, who's to say Les couldn't have? Just because Saban did what he did doesn't mean he's the only one capable. It's been 10 years. Les is NOT Larry Coker. The media and even some LSU fans are obsessed with the notion of Saban and LSU.
