This is perfect, he really couldn't have handled it better.

In my opinion, they both took jabs. The only difference is Les did it with McElroy in the room and it was in response to McElroy doing it behind his back.
that's basically where i am with this. Les spoke, more or less, directly to mcelroy after mcelroy attacked his credibility as a coach publicly. now, maybe les could have just ignored it and not responded to the comments McElroy made at all, but i don't think it's out of line or anything for Miles to defend himself, especially when it was in the presence of the man who questioned his credibility. He was short, direct, and to the point without making any attack on McElroy as a person.
Also, Alabama fans ITT bringing in Les' record against Saban are too funny, as if that is relevant at all. No one has the resume Saban does in college football, but that doesn't mean every coach in college football isn't a good coach and shouldn't have a any issues with their worth as a coach being questioned, especially when that coach has been winning games at an elite level during that time.

It was good/classy response. He could have handled it better, though. Just not acknowledging it at all.

I dunno about you guys, but I wish I had one. His "twinkle toes" moment in the SEC Championship still gives me a stiffy when thinking about it.

Or, if Greg McElroy is as irrelevant as you seem to think, he could have not responded or acknowledged that comment.
Greg is more irrelavant to yall than he is to us...i believe a lot of yall wanted him benched.
Les handled it properly i thought. Defended his players, himself and LSU like he does and managed to do it in a proper and classy way. Greg took a much cheaper shot at Les than Les did at him IMO

So basically this is just a "you mad bro" TR post about Saban . . .

you give les a national platform to defend shots taken at his players, and he'll do it.
greg was out of line to say what he said, and les wanted to make sure he knew it.

Can we ignore whose jimmies are rustled most to discuss how dumb this statement is?
There are a lot of people raised in bad situations who go on to great success. There are also plenty of people who win/succeed early in life only to end up a wreck.
There are also plenty of instances where a process in brought to a business or organization and contributes to continued success long after the person who implemented the process has departed.
There might not be a single thing he said that's true.

Why does this bother you guys so much? Usually you dismiss what Les has to say out of hand.
