Never thought it would be topped... Then the Prayer and the Kick Six happened

I don't think the Prayer did top it. I think too many people were still too angry about the fact it even came to that/too much in disbelief/too worried we would still blow it.

I have no way of processing how loud it was after Kick Six because I was busy having an out of body experience.

There's no way the Prayer doesn't top the blocked field goal in 2006. It was a god damn hail mary against your second biggest rival in the most miraculous season in CFB history.

1. Kick Six
2. Prayer at JH
3. Block and Flip vs UF
4. First Time Ever at JH

For top decibels? As I've got them ranked.

For pure, consistent noise from the time the game clock started to the clock read 0:00? First Time Ever.

Has to be K6...not only because of the rivalry but it was basically a quarterfinal for the BCSCG.

I know those were terrible times for Bama and some of the best times for Alabamas rivals. But despite Tommy Tuberville being the cock he was, I still had respect for those teams. They were hard hitting, smash mouth squads that ALWAYS gave us great games against LSU and Georgia and 2 years against Florida in 2006-2007. Auburn has had better success since then, but the way they played....is something I can respect. Though, sometimes it was rather boring and inept.

Auburn's had a perfect season since then?

Oh yeah Chizik did what Gus couldn't.

From a historical perspective and what it ultimately meant yes, obviously, the Hail Mary was bigger. I just remember the 06 Florida game and the blocked punt in particular as being a louder moment.

Who among us doesn't miss the classic team that produced the greatest defensive shootout of all time.

I miss them. Back then LSU vs Auburn was the matchup in the west each season and those were some fun games. Till Miles showed up and started dominating the series aginst Auburn.

2006 LSU @ Auburn is the most physical cfb i've ever seen bar none, 2011 LSU @ Bama a distant second.

i'll never forget the pics of brandon cox's legs the day after the game. dorsey was a beast that day. it's too bad our two best runners that year were freshmen in their first big sec road game since most of the groundwork went to two out of shape guys coming off acl tears

Meh, that 2003 team that lost at home to USC looked pretty soft at times.

a lot of hype going into 2003 for Auburn too. I'll never forget how hot it was at that game. If you drank too much tailgating, you paid the price that day.

the 2002 Auburn-USC game was a lot more legit. I did a stint at Auburn from Fall 2001- Fall 2003.

2002 was probably the most fun football season out of all of them to watch. Even after Cadillac went down, the RB's stepped up. Ronnie Brown got rolling then Tre Smith came out of nowhere to stun Alabama at the end of the season. Brandon Johnson was a boss at fullback but even he was hurt for the Alabama game. I think Cooper Wallace took his spot for most of the game?

i played against Brandon Johnson a few times in high school. Strongest son a bitch ever. Never saw just one guy bring him down. He would carry the ball about 30 times a game and also played free safety. Rush Propst was the coach over there at Bryant.

No, Chaz wasn't flagged on the chop block. The fact he wasn't flagged is the real crime. And it was right in front of the ref too.

I do miss those LSU/AU games from the 2000s. They were all crazy as hell.

Why would any bama fan miss mid-2000s auburn teams?... unless they're a masochist.

Oh, I see. Haven't kept up with EPL all that much since moving back to the states. Noticed y'all lost in the Round of 16 at the UEFACL Tourney. I'll be in Stuttgart for the final in June.
