To be honest I agree but I can say the same about Saban. Your studs were killing our d and he kept throwing the ball.

That wouldn't have happened last year. I think this years struggles have boiled down to Nussmeier trying to figure out a way to merge our personnel and traditional offensive identity under Saban with the things he likes to do. It's definitely led to things being discombobulated at times this season.

It's also the last thing we need to have pop up on the 7th

When he runs it everyone wonders why we don't throw the ball. When he passes everyone is now getting on him for not running. I agree should have run Hill but whatever.

Yes, it is.

Les fort the most part is a good quality coach and he has the best public personality a coach can have. He represents your program well.

No, he isn't. No, he doesn't. No, he doesn't.

Having said all that he seems to have these complete brain farts at times. Surely that has to drive you Tiger fans insane.

Yes, he does. Yes, it does.

This quality coach you speak of is a myth. Miles did the same thing in 2007 against Kentucky with Charles Scott. 91 yards in the first half, next run is on a fourth down at the end of the game.

exactly, and this is why he probly passed it. thanx negatigers! u clearly have had the impact u desired, or thought u did.

Truth is they were stacking the box and b/c of the pass rush they were getting and our 2 true freshman OLs (in b/c of injury to starters) he had Ware in b/c he is better at blitz pickup, better hands than Hill for screen option etc, and ware is going pro and Miles was giving him his final playing time to show off for the scouts. didnt pan out. hindsight = 20/20.

Mett has to make the pass, but the roll out for a 6'5" qb is the head scratcher. Yet, coach cant make it for him nor can he block for the OL. And Ware, very uncharacteristically, kept being blown up on pass rush blocks.

Clemson played like it was their superbowl, see post game reaction. they deserved it. they got sick and tired of losing big games even tho they have plenty of talent. and Dabo had them prepared. Hopkins n Boyd r pure studs. Give them credit. They were due. But 8/10 times, LA tigers would beat that team. hard to get up for the chicken bowl when u thrashed bama #1 defense in the country on the stat sheet n were one 1st down away from NC appearance. weighs heavily.

Les was thinking to himself, Hill is averaging 10 yards a carry. We only need 2. So let's try to find a way to get 2 yards. Hey Stud, do we have any 2 yard plays that we can run?

Yes, but rushing stats per carry can be deceptive when including a long run like Hill's right after the half. Its about momentum at the time and how many in the box and where. And frankly, our OL was not getting the rush push nor blocking for the pass at all. They straight beat us in that area. ...but we were out 3 starting OL (one being our early 1st rounder) and had 2 18yr old kids blocking in only their 7th college game vs an experienced, motivated angry crew. It happens.

But mostly it was Miles giving well earned cred to Ware, tellin ya. ...and trying to counter Clemson's d formation. who would guess they would pass? this was his thinking. but Mett wasnt accurate. Actually, he wasnt accurate all night. So yes, a headscratcher, but if he makes the pass, thats it, game over. Then they went 4th & 16, even after a huge sack by Mingeaux on 1st down.

Tellin ya, cant take this victory away from those playaz, that's the hardest I ever seen Dabo's boys play. Truth is we really didnt deserve the win if we got that first down there. Now, the bama win, we deserved that one if we got that 1st down, but lost it anyway. Tis life, game of inches. And frankly, I enjoyed Dabo's post game antics. He is second only to Miles for entertainment value.
