I don't think OM is waiting on the investigation to end. I suspect they have made the decision on the number of game suspension to be commensurate with what they feel the investigation will reveal if/when it is completed. They (OM) will decide when Tunsil plays again and the number of games they think will satisfy the NCAA. Crap shoot - but that's the way it is.

I obviously want him to play again because he's by far the best lineman we've ever had and we can compete for the SEC this year. Regardless of what happens, I hope his family has severed all ties with his step father and that guy doesn't get a dime. The worst part of most cheating scandals is when finding out the family members, friends, AAU or high school coaches that also reap rewards for the recruit. If you're a grown man and leach off a teenage kid, you deserve to get your arse kicked. The worst is that guy who used Skal Labissiere. Obviously the Tunsil situation is different andhe is the one who took an illegal benefit, his step dad just reminds me of those AAU coaches.

That is far from accurate. He broke his leg in our bowl game. He needs to show scouts he's the same player he was before.

He's a top 5 pick with the bone density of Derrick Rose. I'm not saying he has nothing to gain, but he has way more to lose. Sitting out is 100% in his best interest.

Unless the NCAA for some reason punishes football for their other programs. I know Ole Miss' women's basketball program is in some pretty deep shite.

Oh, I agree. That said, every SEC program cheats. When the NCAA is literally on campus investigating, it may not end well.

Moreover, OM in the grand scheme of things, is not a national power and I think for that reason the NCAA would not hesitate to go after them for something that they may not go after a different, more name worthy, school for as far as punishment goes.

**As an aside, an OM friend of mine showed me a picture of Tunsil on the Cannon Auto website as a new purchaser of a car...the image was removed after being up for a day or so. This was before the issues with the step-father popped up. Anyone have any knowledge of, or remember that incident?

Judging by your post and username, I'm guessing you're making a run at a satirical account. Better make it a good one, because the bad ones suck.

Don't know.
Did he sign a contract when he was paid all of that money?
If so when did said contract expire?

Using his likeness to sell cars is low...
Young athlete wanting to cruise around town in a good looking car.. He should have known better.

Michael joe Cannon exploiting the athletes ( if using an image of him on the website was true) is just bewildering.

I can only hope the backlash is tangible.

The NCAA being on campus for this long and not clearing him, especially in view of how Manziel and Gurley where freed after suspensions, is bad news.

The NCAA has not been investigating the football team for 3 years (that is a rumor from a State forum). In reality their investigation had been focused on a different sport.

Ole Miss fans don't drive Buicks and Chryslers according to rich Ole Miss fans here. No backlash expected.
