I tend to agree that Towns will be an elite player. Maybe not top-2, but top-4 or 5 wouldn't surprise me in the least.

Guys who can dominate with their back to the basket are becoming fewer and fewer, as are guys who can effectively defend them.

I like Towns' style, and I see the NBA shift to the more Euro-style of play as being more a temporary fad than legitimate seismic shift that will stick around.

A guy like Towns can remind everyone of just how dominant the great centers of the 80's and 90's were, perhaps even starting the trend back to a more physical brand of basketball that the game has been lacking for the past decade or so.

1. "Wasted with poor talent."
Oh, yes that's right. Holiday, Evans, Gordon, Anderson, Ajinca, Osik, plus the name free agents we will get ='poor talent' ???LOLOLOLOLOL.

2. "Weak coaching."
What in the actual everloving frick ???? Gentry has not coached """"A"""" game yet!!!

3. "Lackluster fanbase"
REALLY ??? Did you even SEE the playoff games vs Golden State ?????? We were in the middle of the pack as far as attendance, but had sellouts for big games. Next year should be PHENOMENAL .
