Just renewed his contract. $145 million/5 year deal. If there are Pelican fans here, congratulations, you have what will very soon be the best player in the world for the next few years (and according to him, forever).

NOTE: I reserve the rights to talk about anything related to basketball 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, as I am a Kentucky fan and basketball talk is second nature.

SIDENOTE: It's also the offseason, for like.. Everything.

he is currently not the highest paid NBA player. this extension doesnt kick in for another year, and it gets reverted back to his slotted max contract if somehow he doesnt make an all nba team or the all star team

How is he being wasted in Nola? He just signed for $145 Mil. Is LeBron being wasted in Cleveland? If you are great enough, you are never wasted. Golden State has sucked, but Curry made them a Champion. Greatness creates great things, regardless where you are.

In which case, I guess he has the highest paying contract in the NBA then. Plus, he's the only guy in the NBA making a frick ton of money off of his eyebrow.

He's being wasted with poor talent around him, weak coaching, and lack luster fan base. Seems pretty obvious to me.

And hopefully Noel will be winning Defensive Player of the Year awards left and right.

You're referring to the Monty Williams days. Alvin is much more creative offensively, and our fans really showed up for the playoffs when they booed Curry like you would see in a college game.

You just described Chicago for the first couple of years with Jordan, Cleveland with LeBron, Golden State in Curry's first few years, etc, etc.

Teams with the top picks in the draft don't get those prized talents unless they are totally screwed up. If the talent is great enough, they take that screwed up team to greatness.

Greatness, if truly great, is Never wasted.

Davis is a freak and is definitely the next greatest player in the world, after Lebron starts to slow. Towns, I'm not so sure about.

It's his livelihood. He's making money. That's what it's about.

Everything from Louisiana reminds you of your semen covered buns from November doesn't it?
