No, I didn't. I thought he was from a straight gator family. Didn't know he had ties to the Tide. I find it hard to believe the Paul Johnson could not find a way to make him useful. I know he doesn't use TE's, but shite..he missed out big time with Peek.

My niece shared a flight with Peek from Jacksonville to Birmingham. This was last year when he was on the scout team. He had a piece of Alabama team luggage and she commented on it, and they chatted all the way. According to her, he said that Paul Johnson is the biggest egotistical prick he had ever met, and that he basically let it be known to Peek that he would wither on the vine if he stayed at Tech. He also said that if people saw the way Nick Saban interacted with his players, they would have a totally different perception of him than the cold, businesslike, assholish persona he has been labeled with. That the players LOVE him, and part of it is because of his weird persona.
She came away very impressed by Peek, (she didn't actually know who he was until I told her).

SI loves it whenever they get a chance to put us on the cover, apparently the Green Bay Packers fans are the only ones that buy as many issues as we do.

I can see this. Being in Atlanta, I get to hear a lot of his press statements, and he's always struck me as a bit of a dick. Comes across very condescending...
