Because he was first charged with a felony, then it was dropped to a misdemeanor as the facts started coming out and the girls story kept changing. It isn't going to stick.

He was suspended because he was erroneously charged with a felony.
But after the woman couldn't get her story striaght and more witnesses came forth, it was dropped to a misdemeanor, which he will probably get acquitted of when the investigation is over.
He apologized to the team not for hitting the woman, but just for the distraction of the case.

LSU fans must really think Day is something else. Apparently he has the ability to slow down time. If you can't tell that clip was slowed and sped up as he came down, you have no business on the internet, the technology is too much for you.

Well now the news has a different version. So why is allowed to play? Why not hold him out and send a clear message. Why not let the court case clear him and then let him play?
