Just because they're doing better in recruiting and donations are pouring in, doesn't automatically mean it'll translate onto the field. Let's at least see what he can do with his players first. I'm taking the wait-and-see approach with aTm. They're not there yet.

Not exactly sure to what this was/is in reference, but ok.

However, it's pretty easy to see that aTm was the most overrated team in the SEC at the beginning of the season (popular or not). I simply don't buy into Sumlin yet. I think Manziel has made his coach millions. What has he really done to warrant $5M/yr? They finished 4th in their own division and in the middle of the conference. Name any other situation where a coach gets a raise like that with those results.

Simple. Just name a coach that other programs want to hire and will pay more money to hire him and you will have a coach like Sumlin.

This is not a football issue. It's an employment issue. Sumlin is in demand from college AND NFL programs. A&M needs continuity and has benefited from the high level of recruiting. A&M is moving in the right direction. We could have saved an extra $2 million a year, but the cost of having the momentum we have built interrupted with a coaching search is well more than the additional $10 million we will pay over 4 years.

If you can't see the value I have described above, you have precisely ZERO experience in any business or commerce whatsoever.

The Chick-fil-A Bowl averaged a 5.3 overnight rating, the highest for a non-BCS bowl on ESPN since at least 2000

#1 It was an ACC vs SEC game
#2 UNC and NC State fans probably watched hoping Dook would lose
#3 tu and the little 9 fans probably watched hoping TAMU would lose
#4 B1G and PAC fans probably tuned hoping to see an SEC team lose
#5 America tuned in to see JFF
#6 Duke fans (all 100 of them) probably tuned in thinking it would be a basketball or lacrosse game
#7 Cows everywhere tuned in hoping folks would eat chicken instead of them

In their defense, they were hoping an SEC team was going to get the brakes beaten off of them.

Was their any pun intended with the use of the word "defense" when discussing this Ags? Because their is pretty bad. Just saying.

The only reason I put the game on was because I heard Duke was beating A&M. It was most likely to watch them almost lose to freaking duke. I mean duke was winning pretty much the entire game. It must suck to be an aggie fan :smh:

One of my close friends and brothers are Aggies and their attitude is that because the recruiting & donations have improved, it automatically means they're going to be elite. So I guess it's in reference to them.

Simple? Why is Sumlin in demand? And what momentum? 4th place in the division and a middle of the pack finish in the SEC with an utterly atrocious defense?
