quote:He wouldn't conform to the process that was in place to field a championship team. Saban's system is very ridged and some players refuse put themselves through those rigors when they can't see themselves in the top 3 at their position let alone when they are 5th or 6th at their position.
He didn't get processed, he left cause he didn't like Alabama. I don't blame him
And when in their angst, they proceed to show their arse while the staff is recruiting future players, all while they are receiving a full ride scholarship, room/board, access to some of the best facilities, trainers, nutritionists, etc..... Well, I feel quite certain Alvin was urged to take his talents elsewhere. He is known to be a cancer in the program if he doesn't get his way - maybe he has matured and CBJ can get the best out of him? Time will tell.

TBF, a third of those yards came against UT & AU, the worst two rush defenses in the SEC who managed to win only 8 games between them (and 1 conference win).
So what? Why don't you go look up Fournettes's stats and see who he gained most of his yards against.
Doesn't negate his accomplishments.

I wish Alvin the same success he had at Bama.

which Auburn player was the pre season Heisman Trophy winner last year? Corey Grant? Sammie Coates?

But rushing for zero yards and being 7th on previous teams depth chart= beast

Show function draw play from a game Tenn lost.
Show super meaningful JUCO ranking of running backs
Remind people Peyton Manning also went to Tennessee... just like Dobbs
Mic drop

Hurd is a solid back. Michel is probably more talented, I'm excited to see him healthy. At this point it's hard to say he's better than Hurd because we only got to see him play healthy a couple of times. Marshall....well he's the most overrated tailback that's ever walked onto the field at Georgia. Dude is good for running fast, in a straight line. Reminds me of Demps or Rainey at UF only bigger and with less balance.
I can somewhat agree with that. I know Michel has a ton of talent and is somewhat overlooked due to Chubb but the dude barely had 60 carries last year. To rank him ahead of bell cow like Hurd is a bit premature imo.
Maybe I'm being a homer but I was very impressed with the season Hurd put together as a freshman behind this god awful offensive line. He finished with over 1,100 yards from scrimmage last year with the defense constantly teeing off on him when Worley was at QB. Dobbs opened things up a bit more with his legs in the read option in the second half of the season. He was also basically the only option at RB with our terrible depth and Marlin Lane always being injured. Kamara should help a lot with that in 2015.
