Brandon Jacobs - 3rd string behind Carnell and Ronnie Brown. Don't remember him saying anything bad about Auburn though - he just wanted to play.

"Brandon wanted to concentrate on playing running back and with Carnell (Williams) and Ronnie (Brown) returning, we agreed that he wouldn't get the playing time that he wanted. We wish him the best," said Tuberville.

Jacobs rushed for 446 yards on 72 carries, averaging 6.2 yards per carry and scored three touchdowns last season.

"I appreciate having the opportunity to play at Auburn. However, I want to concentrate on playing running back and I believe I will receive more playing time at another school. I am in the process of looking at a number of different schools," said Jacobs.

He made statements about not having any friends at Auburn - and glad to be back with his friends at SIU. He complained about how Blacks that weren't athletes were treated. However, when he went pro he talked about it being a good experience. But dude was a stud and didn't get the ball. Gus would have found a way to get all three the ball. But hey - AU didn't have Gus back then.

Jacobs left Auburn but it was on pretty good terms, just wanted to go somewhere that he would be the featured back. When he was playing for the G-men his SUV had Auburn stuff on it - tag bracket, decals, etc.

If we are straying outside of the athletic arena, the one famous former Auburn student who never seems to care about the school is Jimmy Buffett. Granted, he was only a student for a semester before goign to Southern Miss, but still. The only two times I have known him to mention Auburn was in his autobiography and then in passing at the 2010 Atlanta concert.

Athletic wise, I don't think any of the big names from Cliff Ellis's days in Auburn come back much, but then there was so much smoke around some of them that I guess the school doesn't want them back either. I am somewhat surprised that neither Chuck or Wesley Persons comes back, or at least aren't very obvious about it.

I can't really think of one off the top of my head....

Dmac, Felix, Peyton, that whole group still comes around.

John Daly still hangs out.

Possibly the most notable athlete may be Tyson Gay. He was involved in NCAA investigations that cost our program a national title.

I don't ever hear anything pertaining to AU from:

- Jason Campbell
- Ronnie Brown
- Carnell Williams

I might just be out of the loop, but with the season they had in '04, you'd think they would have more of an attachment.

Ive heard/seen on TV where Campbell has been on the sidelines for games before.

Also, whoever said that they heard something from Stinson at the Senior Bowl...Stinson isnt even playing in the Senior Bowl.

Can't think of many. Most Aggies who attend even one year are brainwashed.

Maybe Mike Goodson? He played for Fran though, so I can't blame him one bit.

Other than the 9-6 Gameday in Tuscaloosa, Brain Wilson appears to be distant from LSU.
