Teams don't want to play LSU because after said opposing team beats LSU 5 times in a row, LSU will puss out and breach the contract, while at the dame time filing a lawsuit in Federal Court in BR agaist the non-breaching party to make sure the forum is in Louisiana. Then said opponent will be left scrabbling to fill the scheduling hole and forced into a terrible home and home with one of LSU's shitty little sister schools.

Yes, teams are scared to play LSU, but not out of concern for the game itself.

It's hysterical that pussy Alleva doesn't mention how terrified LSU is to play in Gainesville every other year.

You'd be scared too if they treated y'all like they do LSU.

It's also 'hysterical' that LSU is 4-3 vs Florida in Gainseville since 2002.
Yeah, LSU is 'terrified.'

Which by the way, is not the point. The LSU-Kentucky series, just like the Bama-Tennessee series, goes back decades, to the 1940s at least.
What Alleva and LSU have been TRYING to find out is, what the hell is wrong with LSU keeping their ALREADY DECADES LONG series with Kentucky ???
Why is Bama allowed to keep Tennessee, but we cannot keep our already-decades-in-existence rival Kentucky ?????

Actually, if there's a buyout clause in the contract ($100,000) and that buyout clause was PAID... then it doesn't matter AT ALL what our reason was for breaking the contract. We paid the penalty, and the contractual obligations were met for its termination.

Now, I think the expanded SEC schedule actually is the main reason behind ending the series, but the point I'm trying to make is that the reason is irrelevant. LSU wanted out for whatever reason, and they paid A&M to get out.

A&M, despite what their fans say, took the money and the contract terminated.

Both sides should be happy with that arrangement because that's what they put in the contract when they originated it. If you think you're going to be butthurt over someone ending the contract, then make the buyout $10 million instead of $100,000. Otherwise, shut up... you signed the contract.

Yep, in 2001 LSU had played KY every year going back to 1949 when Bear Bryant put LSU on the Wildcats permanent schedule. As of 2001 LSU had played KY 53 times as compared to only 49 times vs UF.

Come to think of it, LSU started playing A&M regularly right after Bear Bryant started coaching there, and Alabama showed up on LSU's permanent schedule after Bear started coaching there as well.

Apparently tBear liked playing in the "Drum".

Nuh-huh.

LSU is known for pussing out and leaving holes in the schedule. Has nothing to do with the buyout. Nobody wants to play a welcher, especially one who reeks of battered, deep-fried, water-rodent frankfurters.

Nuh-huh ??????????
What are you in kindergarten ???
And yes, It had EVERYTHING to do with the buyout.

And I think you have that "pussing" out fantasy backward. LSU has had OPPONENTS "puss out"- Va.Tech,
for one.

I think those 'deep-fried water rodent frankfurters' must be something your kind is used to - since they are the biggest seller at the Texas State fair, or in Iowa or Nebraska - you know, where the CORN IS.

We would rather indulge in Crabmeat Au Gratin, Trout Amandine, stuffed bell peppers, Shrimp Remoulade, char-grilled oysters, creole bread pudding, etc. than Texas State Fair 'fare'. But I guess it's all in what you're used to I guess in Texas - corn dogs or tex mex........

Oh yes, terrified

We can only hope UT fields a decent team, in the next decade, to offer some competition to the mighty gumps.

Well, if ANYONE could get out of playing LSU, A&M should be first in line.

Washington came to play in 2012 and got obliterated. Last P5 OOC team I believe.

While they have a name, they did lose 6 games that year.
