Please tell me where this shows Alleva being scared to play Florida. It says BOTH are interested in ending the series. I swear Arkansas people must be the dumbest group of people that God has ever put on this earth.

Ok read the whole thread and have a few comments:

1. Multiple conferences are moving to a 9 game conference schedule. That takes away OOC games anyway

2. Off the top of my head there are probably only 10 or so teams who do have the balls to go into TS OOC. Why play LSU and have a loss when you can play Iowa and get a W

3. I would like a list of the types of schools he has called. Is he calling teams like Iowa/Oregon State/NC State or is he calling OSU/USC/FSU?

I don't buy everything, but I do buy the bigger OOC teams would much rather neutral site games than home and homes. Even though we've never lost a regular season OOC game under Miles, the fact is even under Saban the only OOC game at HOME we ever lost in this new millennium was back on September 23rd, 2000. That's a scary stat for opposing OOC teams he would be calling. To them, it is like scheduling a guaranteed loss in a home and home situation.

Seriously though...what major conference team ia going to agree to play a top tier team on the road without a preexisting rivalry already locked in?

The only true road games nonconference I've seen between top teams in the last 4 years that meet this description:

Michigan State at Oregon 2014
Notre Dame at Florida State 2014
LSU at West Virginia 2011

This is an honest question; Do you think Southern Cal, Florida State and Ohio State are getting calls? Or do you think it is middle of the road teams in the other power conferences?

If you're only counting pct while an SEC coach, Sumlin is 15-0.

Alleva is the perfect AD for that pussy fan base. LSU and Alleva are afraid of UF, so he tries to spin that into teams are afraid of a team that lost 5 or 6 games last year and doesn't have a Division 1 qb on its roster. Pahhhllleeeesssseeeee. What a joke.

Has LSU beaten a ranked bowl opponent since 2012?

Sumlin is 2-0 on those.

You mean aside from the traditional rivalries I assume

Didn't UGA/Clemson just finish one too?
Nebraska/Miami maybe... (traditional powers at least and fringe top 25ers now)?
OSU is playing OU in 2016/2017 but who knows where OU will be even by then but should be good

Considering we have actual scheduled games with Oklahoma, Wisconsin, BYU, Miami, Texas, UCLA and Arizona State all for the future I don't see why they wouldn't call anyone. I know after the 2003 USC/LSU crap we were in talks with USC back then for games that just never got worked out. We certainly would like to play anyone, but this day in age in general its tough to get home and homes with big teams because the neutral site allure has just become so strong.

LSU beat eventual SEC champ AU in 2013 at home. Troll somewhere else.

ETA: I thought you meant a ranked opponent that made a bowl at home. Not a ranked opponent in a bowl.

Forgot about those.

The point is still there though. Most schools do not want to risk a loss on a high profile OOC road game.

The Alabama fan base should be the last one in the SEC calling out another fan base.

How many of those are home/home if any? Wisky isn't, and Texas is in Houston (going off memory here)?

OSU is a pretty good stadium and a pretty good team and they don't have huge problems attracting OOC opponents to Columbus. OU/Texas/Oregon/USC

I forgot to mention a team that also lost its best coach and replaced him with a failed DC.
