Being massive underdogs the officials might call the game fairly for once in Tuscaloosa!

We don't have the passing game required to consistently threaten Bama's defense. Our defense is very good at generating sacks and turnovers, and I could see a game similar to the UT/Bama game last year, but realistically I just don't see how we generate enough offense to win unless Bama gives us a bunch of short fields.

I think it'll be something like 31-17.

I wonder if Bama can stay disciplined enough to not allow Knight take off on the ground

he can be dangerous but unless we turn it over a lot and just let Knight go all Stephen Garcia again, and these are different circumstances surrounding this game, right or wrong, they just are, they don't have much of a shot. Not being unkind because I like A&M and their fans but they just don't have the horses. First two games were classics and they've been beat down the last two. It wont be 49-10 but it will be fairly comfortable. Unless again, we totally don't show up. We seem to have that 2008 focus where we played pissed off and nobody was gonna touch us.

Aggie fans are a weird bunch. They trolll and talk shite to teams like LSU even though they are winless against. But a team like Alabama that they have competed with, they are quick to bow down and suck them off

We're a 17 point underdog on the road against Bama. We'll be a 7-10 point favorite against LSU and its at home.

It's completely justifiable to have different expectations for those two games. Bama is world's better than LSU.

Statistically a 17pt dog wins about 8-10% of the time. If I had to bet it I might go with A&M to cover because Bama may have a let down after the blowout win. Also, Knight has the skills to hurt us. But, I don't see anyway TAMU wins. Their defense sucks and Bama's defense is suffocating and relentless.

....and this is really what it's all about when you get right down to it. aTm missed more tackles in the second half of the Tennessee game than Bama defenders have missed all season.

A&M lacks the defense to stop Alabama's running QB. That means their only hope to win is in an offensive shootout.

To beat Bama in a shootout, however, A&M must win the turnover battle. They cannot afford to give Alabama extra possessions or defensive and special teams touchdowns.

I just don't think A&M is capable of 4 quarters of mistake free football. A&M keeps it close through midway in the 3rd quarter, but the Tide pulls away pate to win by at least 3 scores.

Expecting a loss, hoping I'm wrong.

Competitive throughout.

If you're going to say the Aggie defense sucks, you should probably point to more than its performance in one half of one game.

The defense has been largely fantastic all year with the exception of the fourth quarter, when A&M typically leads by multiple touchdowns.

Let's be honest. Bama should win every game every year. If they don't they screwed up. Best recruits every year and best coach ever.

And the reason Bama fans get more respect than lsu is the gumps don't feel the need to constantly tell everyone how good they are.

^^ This. It's much more accurate to say the defense has been inconsistent, although more often then not it's been very good.

4th quarter against UCLA and two bad quarters against Tennessee it's been bad. The other 21 quarters its played this year it's been very good.

In the first half of the Ole Miss games Alabama's D was atrocious. No one is extrapolating that to the whole season, though, because that would be idiotic.

That being said, it's going to take 4 almost flawless quarters to beat Alabama in T Town. Or Alabama gets uncharacteristically careless with the ball.

Hitting on some big plays early coupled with some early stops would be huge, similar to the 2012 game.

Expecting a loss, as would any fan of pretty much every team in the country save Ohio State. Our defense is better than the stats look, but not enough to hold up to 4 quarters of Bama. Have a strong showing and lose by less than 3 scores and I'm happy with the possibility of winning out and maybe stealing a playoff spot.
