I think the guy in the video said he was on I40 near Conway... My wife's grandparents live in the outskirts of Conway and their home was demolished. Roof gone, most of the house ripped to the frame.

They're okay though... rode it out in a storm shelter. I can't even imagine the terror.

I lived in Mayflower for 7 years, I'm having a hard time keeping it together. Very sad day.

In one of those videos it sounds like the guy says something like "Oh God why did they get off the road? They knew better." And in his despair I believe he repeats that "why did they get off the road?"

This may sound dumb but I've never heard you were supposed to stay on the road. Only that you're not supposed to get under an overpass and that if you can - get out of the car and lay in a ditch.

Can anyone explain why he might've said that? Thanks.

I may have misunderstood but I thought he was saying something like why didn't they get off the road as in why were they out in the storm.
