Wing is really the only choice for punter. He is the only punter's name that i know outside of ours.

Why would Joe Adams deserve it over Ruben Randle? Adams will be special teams player.

I agree with you on this. To leave J.Wright of was probably the one glaring mistake.

Honestly I don't think Bequette deserves it over some other DE's either, he's been hurt all year. Unless he has a huge game at LSU he won't be on there

Our D is bend don't break, we don't deserve any 1st teamers.

We could argue for all 3 special teams spots though

ETA: I also think Trevathan should be on there

Wing is also a guy finalist

No he's not.

According to the Ray Guy Award committee the top punter in Louisiana is Ryan Allen of Louisiana Tech. One of three finalists for the award along with Steven Clark and Jackson Rice of Oregon.

Tramain Thomas has better stats than all of them outside of Rambo's interceptions. Just doesn't play on an "elite" defense so know one knows his stats.

Tramain Thomas - 73 tackles, 4 INTS

Think about how many 3 and outs/turnovers, have been forced by Bama and LSU defenses...Stats are deceiving...

I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Arkansas defense has had twice the plays ran on them.

Steven Clark needs to be the punter. 25 inside the 20. Averaging 40+. And has only has 8 returned out of 64. If you watch him, he could get 45-50 a punt easy but he hangs them up there and instead takes 40-44 with no return.

Why would I be banned? I've read plenty profane-laced posts that do not get other members banned. I've been reading TD for years and finally decide to post objective material and you want me banned?

Both Reid and Taylor deserve to be 1st or 2nd team safeties.

I agree. He's a great punter, but Wing's accuracy impresses me more. Wing is averaging more at 43 yards and he also has 21 inside the 20(almost half were inside the 5 yard line). 12 that went 50+ yards, and a long of 73. He was hurt for 2 games, but his stats are still comparable with Clark. He also has a solid hang time as well

LSU opponents have a combined total of 6 return yards for the season.

It should be Wing easily.

Also Alleman (LSU) is the only kicker 100% in FG in conference play.

LSU has had 13 punts returned on the entire season for a grand total of 6 yards for an average of 0.46 yards per punt return.

LINK

Wing also pinned West Virginia inside their own 11 yard line on each of his 6 punts during that game and he also pinned Bama deep on 2-3 occasions.

Watching Wing and his hang-time and pin-point accuracy during Warm-Ups of the LSU vs Bama game....I told my brother that Wing is good enough to be a 1st Round Draft Pick as a punter as he effects Field Position that much.

LB - Upshaw
LB - Trevathan
LB - Hightower

While Trevathan is KY's stud, it would be a travesty to leave SEC Sack Leader Jarvis Jones off the first team. He's the Beast of the East!

William Vlachos sucks. He gets hype just for being an upperclassmen at Bama.
