He's pound for pound the best LB in the SEC and it's not even close.
No he's not, the majority of his teammates just aren't that good. Put him on a defense like BAMA's or LSU's, where the players are racing each other to make the first hit, and his stats drop considerably.

Fletcher Cox named SEC DL three times this year. And played like a beast this week against Arkansas.

Eric Reid has 58 tackles, 2 INT's
Mark Barron has 60 tackles, 2 INTs
Bacarri Rambo has 47 tackles, 7 INTs
Pick 2

You could also say Bama's D makes up for Hightower's shortcomings. It goes both ways. Hightower's stats just aren't impressive, no matter which way you look at it.
Winston Guy also has 106 tackles and Ridge Wilson and Ronnie Sneed have 46 and 70 respectively. It's not like it's Trevathan doing all the work. Martavius Neloms also has 71 at DB.

This except I would have Trevathan at LB, just not sure which LB I would replace.
ETA: And replace Wing with Clark, the Guy finalist

This list is wrong without Fletcher Cox.

I would get rid of the smallest DL listed, switch to 3-4, and add Trevathan.

Didn't read all. Joe Adams and Jarius Wright are the best WR hands down.

Only problem there is you remove either Montgomery or Lemonier and both of them would make pretty solid 3-4 Jack LB's. Can we just run the UT 4-5-5 defense?

Tramain Thomas has better stats than all of them outside of Rambo's interceptions. Just doesn't play on an "elite" defense so know one knows his stats.
Tramain Thomas - 73 tackles, 4 INTS

Why would Joe Adams deserve it over Ruben Randle?
Adams will be special teams player.
