The Alabama softball team, fresh off a sweep at this weekend's Tuscaloosa regional, will kick off its best-of-three Super Regional against Nebraska on Thursday.
First pitch for Game 1 is set for 8 p.m., at Rhoads Stadium and will air on ESPN. Game 2 will start at 5 p.m. Friday (ESPNU) and Game 3, if necessary, will be played shortly after Game 2.
Alabama (48-11) outscored the competition, 23-4, in three straight victories at this past weekend's regional.
The winner of the series will be one of eight teams to advance to the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City

I think we sweep Nebraska....they play in the shitty Big 10. They not bout that softball life.

3 B1G teams advanced this year and 2 beat the host to advance. Would love to see Bama stomp em, but just hope they do not get overconfident.
What was the pitch count for the J Train this past weekend? Auburn pitcher did over 450, and the LSU gal did around 500.

Big 10 (michigan 2, Neb 1) has only sent 3 teams to WCWS in 5 years. SEC had 13. PAC had 13. Big 12 had 8.

Over the entire history, Michigan has been stout. They were the only non PAC school to contend early on and they are only 1 of 2 teams east of the Mississippi to win the WCWS.
They paid their dues and have been legit. Pretty sure they also have been putting $$$ into their program. Had a good team that could have gone deep but UK knocked them out in an upset.

Yes Michigan has been pretty legit, probably more so than Alabama...but I wasn't knocking them I was knocking the Big 10 as a whole.

Bama is the only team in the country to advance to the Super Regionals every year since they were added in 2005.

Baylor knocked us out a few years ago in the Supers

Would be nice to see the 2 SEC schools knock out the 2 B12 school, especially with OU hosting.

As the only SEC team win a Softball championship..the SEC Queens are headed back to OKC for the Women's College World Series with 2-1 win over Nebraska in a 2 game series win.
