All of the big 6 schools would have fired him for the same record. I'm not sure what you are trying to say.

MSU isn't a big deal?

2017. Doesn't matter though. Ole miss has accomplished more than state has as a program and has a little bit higher of a ceiling than state does. Ole miss is a better program than state is when you look at the big picture. For example, yes, state beat LSU this year, but state is definitely not the better program and to think they are somehow is ridiculous. They were better on that day the game was played, that's all.

Florida isn't a big 6 school anymore. It's just Alabama now.

Why do you think you get to define the big 6? This should be good.

Because you beat a terrible Coach O lead LSU team?

We hired Bert to have dominating backs and massive O-lines but our backs keep getting punched in the face.

Big 6 was a 1980-2010's term. Join this decade. Big 6 went out the window when the SEC Network started. It's just Alabama now and the rest of us are avoiding your shark fricking coach while we all swim in the kiddie pool.

If you look at the big picture? Like shite that happened 60 years ago? Right now, State is undoubtedly a better program than Ole Miss. they've only finished above State in the SEC twice in the last nine years. Ole Miss is about to get the closest thing to the death penalty and you honestly believe they are a better program. State has enjoyed much more recent success than Ole Miss. How can they have a higher ceiling when they've never won 10 regular season games or been to ATL, yet State has done both...please...enlighten me...

Yeah, you're right. State does seem to have ole miss' number. Them being slammed by the ncaa, which is going to happen, is a big opportunity for state to get the upper hand in ms. Yall have to capitalize on that. I was talking about their accomplishments like sec titles and their national title, but those happened in the frickin good old days for ole miss in the 60s lol. Even their 2 top 10 recruiting classes, which they cheated their asses off to get, didn't win them a damn thing. Ok, you have convinced me, state is a better program than ole miss. frick em.

Nice job BLD.

i'd say state has a two year window right now to win the sec.

if mullen can capitalize on a good season in recruiting and keep momentum going, he could start winning 9+ games a year with a good shot at winning the sec every few years.

looks like he's finally starting to recruit his type of quarterback. two top ten 4 star dual threats in the pipeline. kids are obviously noticing what he did with dak prescott.

MSU has been far from a bottom program in the SEC since Dan showed

He's finished 5th in west in 5/8 years including the last two.

Answer what ever question you feel favors Mullen . I was being far asking how he compared to good coaches at other bottom 6 programs. It's not like I want to compare Mullen to Meyer and Sabah.

Well Macs record sucks compared to spurrier and Meyer but I have never said he was good.

Mad because of what? I'm talking about dan mullen and miss st football program in a thread about just that. You're mad bc of what I posted about states fb program? Come on now. Feel free to correct anything that you may disagree with in my previous post.

Yep

And it'd be justified

But 8 win seasons are celebrated in Starkville.

Does everyone forget just how bad a coach Sly Croom really was? I know he was praised by USA Today as a "groundbreaking hire", but his first year at MSU he lost to the Black Bears-- not the rival team in Oxford, but to MAINE!

Mullen built the program up admirably, from the ground up after the wreckage left behind by the "groundbreaker".
