Couches will be ablaze and police will be responding to domestic abuse calls in trailer parks all across Tennessee.

TN is going to go 10-2.

Great year but some will still say the underachieved.

I agree it will be 10-2

Losses to either Alabama, A&M, or UGA. I refuse to say we'll lose to UF but that's very possible as well.

I see that someone is in fine shape going into the regular season.

I noticed they mentioned the shrinking violets that are the Vol WR corp that never show up in big games. Until that is fixed, nothing will change. So what's the status on the WR group this year? Anybody at all that can step up in a game that matters? Kamara does nothing in big games either so what are the big changes here that would get everybody to buy in exactly?

Good news this is the group that is really shining this fall camp.

It seems both 5*'s on the roster Jr- Josh Malone and So- Preston Williams have taken big steps and should live up to their ranking this year.

We also have 3 or 4 newcomers that have elite speed and look really good.

I think people may be surprised with this group this year, to many of our rivals dismay.

So they're betting on some guys stepping up to support their hype machine instead of waiting to see it first? To me, that was one of the biggest things holding the Vols back was their WR corp completely disappears in big games and so does Kamara, leaving Hurd and Dobbs to do all the heavy work.

I don't mean that as throwing shade at the Vols, it's just something that has really stood out to me on tape the last couple of years, especially considering how ballyhooed your WR recruits have been. Who's coaching your WR units? Is he still on the payroll?

If dipshit Azzani doesn't try and rotate 9 WRs, the group will be fine. There is plenty of talent and the timing was better as the season progressed.

Kamara didn't get enough touches last year and when there was more of a concerted effort to get him the ball, he produced. I expect he will put up very good numbers this year.

As mentioned above, his name is Azzani and he is a terrible coach. Hopefully he "finds another job" after this year. It also does not help that Dobbs is not the best passer.

. However, for the first time I can recall in a long time (probably since the first few games post-expansion when the Hogs and Cocks joined) I'm not concerned about Florida

I'm pretty sure I read almost the exact same wording prior to games against Florida for the past 2-3 seasons on various Tenn boards. "i'm not even worried about uf..."

I realize I am a UT fan and I am biased towards UT in most aspects. But I have NO IDEA how anyone with a brain can say something like "im not worried about UF at all this year" (Weve lost 11 in a row!...11!) or "UGA wont even be a game" (the past 5 years have been decided by 1 possession and we have sucked at away games lately)

It's called delusion, and it runs rampant in your fanbase and has for years.

I think the "delusional Tenn fan" is overplayed a bit on here (every team has delusional fans). We haven't been picked to win the SEC since 2005 and we haven't been picked to finish higher than 3rd in the east since 2007. As always, its the vocal minority that ruins it for everyone.

By who? I found this in less than 2-3 minutes of searching:

LINK

"The Vols will win the SEC East."

LINK /

"TENNESSEE WINS THE SEC EAST"

Literally two different websites picking you guys to win the East last year. If I spent more time I'm sure I could find it for 2014 as well. You guys and UGA have been riding the pre-season hype train for years now.

Beyond that, 2015 was the first year two teams let alone one, won their divisions allowing 7 TFLs or more per game in the SEC.

Oklahoma gave up 6.9 TFL per game...so half of the playoff teams gave up right around what UT did last year.

Also, Bama and Florida gave up more yards in their negative plays than UT. In Florida's case, significantly more.

The question would be...how many plays did the team's offenses actually have, relative to the number of negative plays they experienced per game.

Tennessee had 988 plays with 92 tackles for loss allowed, or 9.3% of their offensive plays were negative.

Compared to:

Alabama - 1088 plays with 101 tackles for loss allowed, or 9.3%
Florida - 915 plays with 98 tackles for loss allowed, or 10.7%
LSU - 783 plays with 66 tackles for loss allowed, or 8.4%
Georgia - 813 plays with 50 tackles for loss allowed, or 6.1%
Auburn - 893 plays with 65 tackles for loss allowed, or 7.3%
Ole Miss - 952 plays with 72 tackles for loss allowed, or 7.6%
Arkansas - 886 plays with 60 tackles for loss allowed, or 6.8%

I could go on...but I'm tired and I guess I've made my point...it is a relatively insignificant statistic...
