the dude is guilty. he follows trouble and trouble wraps both arms around him. lets see if the head coach and the ncaa will do the right thing - i doubt it. JFF is big money to college football.

This is 'pure garbage'.

Nothing happens...this is just the NCAA protecting their monopoly and telling players that only THEY can profit off of collegiate athletes...

Honestly it's to early to tell. The NCAA is not known for swift justice usually. Even if guilty it may just be the Aggies who get punished and he will skate off into the sunset on an NFL bench unpunished for his actions. But too early to tell if he is guilty or not. Could just be someone wanting to get their name in headlines.

This is the second most likely event.

Depends on whether or not ESPNs two sources testify and whether or not the 3rd source they mentioned wanting to talk with the NCAA actually does. Also, whether or not they're credible will be an issue. JF doesn't get the benefit of the doubt by many who aren't JFF fans after this disaster of an offseason.
His father Paul didn't do him any favors either by in the ESPN Mag article (published on the 30th but who knows when the interview was actually given). He seems to think the NCAA is out to get them, A&M is out to get them (even though A&M made a plan for Johnny outlining how to deal with fame and presented to him and his family the moment he won the Heisman), he also thinks that it's unfair for his son not to profit (odd words from a father who is allegedly loaded).
And then there's the family trademarking "Johnny Football" for post-college usage as well as their formation of company designed to handle business affairs despite him still being in school as well as the fact that there was such a flood of memorabilia just after the BCS title game that sports memorabilia experts and brokers became immediately suspicious that something was very wrong.
Altogether, it doesn't add up to someone who comes across as possibly making a single mistake or who's remotely sympathetic to people who aren't JF fans.
So... if there's any evidence at all I don't think Johnny comes out unscathed.

I'll say the same thing happens to JFF as happened to Alabama after the T-town Menswear fiasco: not a gosh darn thing.

They can testify all they want. NCAA still has to prove he received the money...something the sources have already said they didn't watch happen.

This literally doesn't matter at all. They can say whatever they want, without any sort of paper trail or evidence that Manziel received compensation they won't do anything.

For those of you that hate both JFF as well as general NCAA hypocrisy, and way of running things....who are you rooting for here?
Posted on 8/5/13 at 12:51 am to dallastiger55
nothing
Assuming there are either no direct witnesses/proof of money received... or even if there is proof money was demanded or received Johnny can just say the money was asked for or collected by his parents
The Newton loophole is large enough to get pretty near anyone out of trouble if their school plays hardball.
