at least for the team he originally signed with...and the team after that

Eddie Williams is another good one.

Also, not an SEC team, but Kyle Wright was one of the biggest high profile busts of recent times. He made Ron Powlus look like Joe Montana.

Crowell would fit that same category, tons of ability-potential but couldn't stay on a team with any standards at all.

Renardo Sidney takes this. He single handily destroyed MSU basketball.

Eh. I hold him and Dyer on equal footing. Dyer may not have had an outstanding career after his discipline issues (like Crowell) but he did play an integral role in Auburn's 2010 title. Similarly, Crowell had a big hand in UGA going to the SECCG in 2011 after a losing season the year before. Even won SEC FOTY.

Kind of hard to call them busts given what they were able to accomplish (especially hard for Crowell, seeing as he is playing well in the NFL).

Dyer has over 3,000 yards rushing for his career, how can you call him a bust?

I wonder where his fat rear is now? I'll bet he is 450 lbs.

I really wanted Bama to pick up Jansen Jackson. He could have been special. He is in a California penitentiary on a murder charge now.

We got a 1000 yd 10 TD season out of him his soph year. He just liked doobies and fat chicks (who doesn't?). I guess you could call him a bust but he wasn't a major one.

Demetrius Morley is the one I always think of for UT. Former players say he was more talented than EB14.

Kenny O was a big one too.

wasnt a bust, he got screwed bad...

No, he just wasn't good enough to play QB, wasn't big enough to play RB, and couldn't catch or run routes well enough to start at WR. He was definitely a bust. Great kid, just not as good as people thought he'd be, but he's worked hard and stayed on a 53 man roster two years because of special teams work, which is a credit to his work ethic and drive to make it any way he can

I think a lot of people in here have different definitions of what a bust is. A bust, to me, is s guy who was supposed to be good and just flat out was not. Not someone who was a 5 star but second team all-sec or something. Not someone who was good but couldn't stay out of trouble. A bust is someone who just wasn't very good at football but was recruited by everyone coming out of high school.
