Other players have been busts, or screwed up, but Albert won the Triple Crown - did NOTHING on the field, got paid off, and left school with a 0.0 GPA.

Now I defy anyone to come up with a greater bust than Means. If he had a 6X-Large Toga, he would be the Greek God of CFB Busts.

Not to mention the NCAA probation thing.

He shouldn't have left early. He eventually became a starter and didn't live up to the 5* billing, but to put him on an all-bust team is a little harsh. If he stayed and played another year, he definitely would have started.

Albert Means

He was so bad that Logan Young committed suicide by throwing himself up a flight of stairs.

You know, I should correct this. The guy was so stupid he got paid off and DIDN'T EVEN GET PAID.

I don't hate him for Bama's probation. That was all on us. But DAMN, that was the worst money anybody ever spent on a football player.

To this day I will never understand how Love became a 5 star. Vlachos was a better lineman than him in high school. Love just had an ideal frame.

There are plenty of 5 star busts that I still understand why they were 5 stars. Love I will never get.

Does Michael Dyer count considering he flamed out of two separate programs?

Correction he did nothing on the field until his Jr. year, him and Henderson were beasts during the MNC run. He was a lazy pos though.

Didn't people vote Duron Carter like all SEC before he even stepped on campus?

NVM, wasn't 5-star

BJ Scott for Bama

But to BJ's credit, he was the first 5* to get on board under Saban and got the ball rolling for one of the best recruiting classes of all time - and Saban's first #1 ranked class at Bama. That group would go on to win 2 national championships.

Services have serious problems rating O-linemen. The whole frame thing is such a big deal because it is just so hard to evaluate whether a kid will be able to do all the things necessary to be a big-time big league OL.

Yep. And, to his credit, he went on and finished his career at USA and got a shot in a few NFL training camps. Just couldn't figure out a position.
