I'm not going to get into the argument for against Baylor/TCU/OSU. They had to pick one of the 3, and it isn't like OSU was an obvious bad choice

I grew up in Texas! I have ties to the south! put me on the committee

I promise to be unbiased against Baylor/TCU/Texas

One of the points Bryles was trying to make, if not the main one, was that the committee members were not familar, in the football sense, with the style of offenses in the Big 12 as compared to those in the Big 10 & Pac 12. Specifically, the 2 former Big 10 coaches grew up & coached the typical Big 10 offenses, pounding away. The former Pac 12 coaches grew up with the Pac 12 type offenses. As such, they were not able to appreciate the athletic skills involved in Big 12 offenses in general, Baylor's & TCU's in particular. It was just as much about different styles of football as it was geographical issues. And if it was as much politics involved in getting onto the committee as cited by several sources...there were many many who wanted on...then you know politics on some level came to play in the actual selection process.

I don't care who they picked, there shouldn't be this many people with ties to two conferences on the committee.

If we had 3 members from the SEC on the committee like the PAC does ( 4 counting Ty Willingham I guess ) then a Lt. General from Texas, an A.D. from West Virginia who was born in Texas, an A.D. from Arkansas that was born in Waco, Texas, an ex coach from Oklahoma ( like Osborne Nebraska )an ex AD born in Texas who played at Kansas and coached at Texas Tech (like Barry Alvarez) and player who played at Kansas St. ( Like Ty Willingham Michigan St. )

Then you had an A.D, from Clemson, Born in Kansas, and a New Orleans News paper guy born in Missouri and a former commissioner of the Sun Belt conference.

How would you sir feel about a committee with all those built in biases ? Do you think Ohio St. would have been chosen in this situation ? Come on now , get real.

Why do you have to go searching for some convoluted theory about how Baylor and TCU got left out? Why does everything have to be a conspiracy now a days. Maybe they should have played a conference championship game.

SEC/Southern footprint has plenty of ties on the committee:

-Jeff Long- Aryk A.D.
-Steve Wieberg is a Mizzou grad
-Archie Manning- Duh. On leave this season, but he'll be back for at least 2 more years

Would have helped their cause.

Of course you miss the point.

If Pat Haden was also born in SEC country, and the Clemson AD was born in Florida, and Ty Willingham was born in Tennessee, and the Lt. General was born in South Carolina etc. etc.

You guys can play dumb all you want too, the deck was stacked.

I'm not trying to refute your point. I basically just wanted to point out that there's a Mizzou grad on the committee.

Good job SEC Crazy. Here is some more fuel to your fire: go look into why an inactive Mississippi State jumped an inactive Michigan State in the final standings.

Hint: you'd be wrong if you thought that hurt the B1G. Let me know what you find.

Also Archie is on the committee but pulled out this year because he was getting Knee surgery.

Perhaps Archie saw the dynamics and leanings of the committee and decided to "have knee surgery" rather than participate in this farce.

Maybe the better question would be why a 10-2 SEC team should ever have been behind a 2 loss Mich. St. team or a 2 loss Kansas St. team ?

Danny Sheridan just stated the same exact thing on Finebaum's show, TCU nor Baylor ever had any shot, "THE DECKED WAS STACKED".

I don't blame you, Tennessee doesn't have to be worried about no damn Committee robbing them out of a playoff spot.
