All 12 Committee members have ties to Big10/Pac12/Ohio/N.Y.

Condi Rice has been a professor at Stanford since 1981.

The people who say the committee's decision on the fourth spot was based on football and not politics are naive. The South and Texas are basically unrepresented. I think this committee is appointed for three years.

to be fair, he currently is being PAID by an SEC team.

There are plenty of reason o dislike a lot of the members of this committee.

COndoleeza Rice has never played football. my #1 gripe.

New York is everyone's audience but i doubt they will start liking Big Ten football because Rutgers is in the Big ten.

Especially since they are Syracuse Fans

These people come from where football used to be from. Half the talking heads on ESPN have Ohio State ties. Has anyone wondered why the Big10 is dogs in every bowl? It's a bad conference.

I seriously don't know if people really are this uninformed, or if they just like talking out of their arse. Rice was born in Birmingham and has strong ties to Alabama and grew up an Alabama fan. Long has been at Arkansas for six years and was also at E. Kentucky and Va. Tech. And Radakovich, for chrissakes, has spent about a combined 20 years at Clemson, LSU, South Carolina, and Georgia Tech.

Radakovich is from Pennsylvania and went to Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Jeff Long is from Ohio and went to Ohio Wesleyan.
Condi left Alabama in 1967. But you're right Long spent 6 years in Arkansas.
Who's talking out of their arse stupid unninformed Gump?

You fricking moron. You talked out of your arse without knowing shite about what you were talking about. I just showed your ignorant arse the Southern ties of those individuals. Now you're just coming across like a foolish, petulant child trying to save face. Just shut the frick up and go away until you grow a few brain cells. It's hard to believe you're really this stupid. The South unrepresented? Jesus fricking christ, you're a dumb shite.

-------------------

My God, you and SammyTiger are missing the point !!

I understand that Luck is a West Virginia AD, and that Condi is from Birmingham, also that Long is getting paid by Arkansas.

But it is the secondary relationship that comes into play here in tight, close votes. The SEC is going to be in almost every year, so Long and Condi was placed for the SECNDARY BATTLES against the ACC and Big 12.( cant you guys read between the lines ? ) And the Lt. Gen. was an Ohio Midwest guy ? COINCIDENTIAL ?

Then with Luck, if it comes down to a second SEC team or an ACC team ( who wouldn't invite W.V. ) then Lucks Ohio heritage will be a plus vs. those two.

Two N.Y. guys are going to be partial to the Big in most close calls.

Long being an Ohio native and having worked at Michigan is a plus because the SEC isn't in doubt, so he will b pro Big/Pac vs. the ACC or Big 12 in CLOSE CALLS.

Clemson AD is from Penn., if the ACC is in he will be more likely to support the Big on a close vote.

Thy insulated themselves from all sides.

It is so very easy to see, you couldn't possibly pick all 12 with BIG/PAC ties if you weren't trying.

Archie was the only bone they threw us. I think he saw through the charade.

Yes. Yes they do. A guy spends 20 years working for Southern schools...but he can't represent the South? Another guy works for 6 plus years...and still works for a Southern university...yet can't represent the South? And a woman is born in the heart of the Deep South, spends 13 years there, and grows up a Bama fan, yet can't represent the South?

Facts.

And you're still a stupid fricking moron.

Confederate arse, eh? So now we see the reason for the animosity toward Rice.

Baylor never went above 6th until the final poll.

The reason for this? Their dreadful strength of schedule.

I would have never picked Baylor because of their OOC schedule, I am telling you WHY THE COMMITTEE waited until the last vote to place TCU behind Baylor.

TCU should have gotten the spot imho, but the trump card for the committee was, push TCU above Baylor, then on the last day you have your perfect " excuse " to bump TCU back behind Baylor and thus behind OSU.

Also, Baylor plays 9 conference so they get that extra power 5 game in.

I could care less who they choose, but we don't need this many BIG/PAC/ Ohio people on the committee.

THATS A DAMN FACT.

Its economics and politics-that's what it comes down to. First of all I feel awful for those kids at TCU. They do not get paid, they worked their asses off and did everything they could do. They were ranked 3rd-won big and got dropped because the committee got some "heat" to allow Ohio State-who also won big but was 3 spots behind-that 4th spot. Face it-the Big 10 TV markets, the Sugar Bowl committee probably whining about how Ohio State fans travel well and will spend the whole week in New Orleans-you get the picture. If there was ANYWAY to get Ohio State in-even if they only won by a point it was happening and it has nothing to do with a conference championship. I bet if it was Notre Dame in TCU's position-Ohio State would not have had a chance because we all know no fan base travels as well and spends as much as the Irish fans-not to mention the National brand and its effect on TV ratings. Yeah TCU-you guys got royally screwed in the name of the almighty dollar!!!!

Well said, Starkville. Ohio State just might be the best team in the whole deal, but their conference is predicted to lose in every bowl game. tOSU beat #8 and #18 while Baylor beat #6 and #11. That means you put tOSU ahead, right?

You're doing it again. Tell me where Baylor won those 2 games, then tell me where OSU won those 2 games. Oh right, Baylor won both at home and OSU won both away from home
