I think Hurts did a great job for a kid that is a true freshmen that just arrived on campus in February. To be only his third game, on the road in the SEC and come from being down 21 points shoes a lot of poise for a kid his age. Will see many years of enjoyable football from him.

He's no Danny Etling but we will get by.

He's good, but he's got to work on his downfield throws. He's either late or throws to the wrong shoulder.

Send your DE's wide to keep him contained in the pocket and that offense won't move the ball. I'm sure the kid has potential but he's not even close yet. The majority of the offense was screen passes to Ridley and the qb scrambling.

Lots of good young QB talent in the conference this year. Bama looks like a team that'll be unbeatable by years end, but is vulnerable a little right now. Hurts is clutch.

Bama had 330 yards rushing and hurts only had 130 of them. That's 200 yards of offense that hurts had nothing to do with. Keep reaching though.

The most impressive performance was after he got his arse lit up on that fumble return TD, he came right back and quickly scored. He never seemed rattled. If anything, that hit seemed to kind of get him going.

I like a cool QB, but he was way too nonchalant and void of emotion yesterday. He doesn't act with any sense of urgency pre-snap, which made his o-line restless and jump early at least twice yesterday.

Ridley and Stewart are useless with Hurts at QB. He runs well but throws a lousy deep ball.

I love that strategy. Go for it.

The defense, special teams and Swag Kelly's implosion is how Bama was able to come back from a 21-point deficit to Ole Miss. Giving Jalen Hurts credit for leading the comeback is the equivalent of saying Jake Coker led Bama to the win against Texas A&M last year.

The only reason his deep ball is "lousy" is because he holds on to the ball too long. Once he gets out of high school timing, I think he will be alright. Kind of looks like Coker this time last year and he turned out pretty good .

He was there in Jan.

He lead the team in rushing.

He's still a true freshman. He has some growing to do but I thought he did a good job. Kiffin made some questionable play calls in the first half.

Actually we have. Did you see the run game the first two weeks? The kid has had to make some throws. We'll be fine.

Seriously tho, have we ever relied on a QB's arm outside of McCarron to win games? Outside of AJ's final 2 years @Bama ,we've had the same Game Manager formula since Saban has been there.

130 yards from a qb is a TON, and it was what those yards gained you, that is, first downs on a third and long. Sometimes you have you actually watch a game and dig into the stats.
