Mandell has been a bit off today with his punts. He's had several opportunities to pin us deep and has failed to do so.

Amari Cooper is running with the 1st group of receivers. He's a badass. Norwood, Jones, and Cooper are the top 3 receivers.

Ely running QB with the 2nd offense, and he's HORRIBLE. He will not be the #2 QB by September 1.

Yeldon getting work with the 1st group offense.

Eddie Lacy's YPC is going to be through the roof for this scrimmage. He's popping off 10 yard run after 10 yard run like it's not a big deal. Granted - that's against the 2nd D.

I look at Ely like a long term project. He needs another couple years of development at which he time he could step in in an emergency and manage a game for us.

Norwood with a 40 yard catch down to the 5 yardline.

Cooper with a 5 yard TD catch in traffic. Kid's special.

Mandell struggling bad today with his punts.

Ely is going against the ones, no wonder he is sucking, just like all the other qb's who go against our first team O.

Alabama's offense will be in trouble if McCarron gets injured.

What does Alec Morris look like, or has he seen the field yet?

Yep. I see him like I saw McElroy, he won't be ready to play a meaningful snap until his RS Junior year. Smart kid, with not a ton of talent. He needs two more years of seasonning before we better ever need him.

That's too bad. Kid seemed to really turn a corner this spring.

I've actually heard good things about him, I doubt he'll see much this year, The O-Line will hopefully keep AJ injury free.

Yeldon getting

Is Blake Sims getting any reps at QB? Blake runs a 4.4 forty barefoot on gravel and has a cannon for an arm.

He will be a lot like GMac in that regard. He won't be ready to play in the SEC for at least 2 more years. I watched him in the spring game and Ely just isn't very good

I think some are overreacting just a tad bit, the same was said about Gmac. Saban wants him to manage the game, not make mistakes, put the team in the right play...

Dee Hart is looking really good.

First defense gets another two consecutive 3 and outs.
