Going live now... Eddie Lacy with 40 yards on 2 carries against the 2nd defense.

Landon Collins is working with the 2nd defense. I'm assuming John Fulton is no longer with the first group, because he's currently working with the 2s.

Jalston Fowler is working at H-Back

Amari Cooper is a badass. As advertised so far, and he's working against the ones in pass skel/defensive individual drills. Catching the ball from AJ. True freshman. He'll break records, IMO.

1st drive stalls, and Shelley comes on for a field goal and connects from 38 yards.

Dee Hart is getting a lot of work with the first group along with Eddie Lacy. Hart is looking great. Yeldon hasn't made an appearance yet.

Drive stalls out at the 12 or 13 yard line. Griffin comes in and nails a 30 yard field goal.

I have a feeling we will be seeing a lot of Hart this year. While Yeldon is going to be a star, I still think he is a year out unless Hart/Lacy get injured.

I would imagine Cade Foster is loving the new kickoff rules. He's 2/2 on kickoffs for touchbacks.

With the ball coming out to the 25, Saban might not be so happy.

beats the crap out of the ball only carrying to the 20 and getting returned to the 40 like happened all the time last year. how can such a big guy have such a noodle for a leg? makes our defense's performance last year even more impressive, as we lost the field position battle on special teams in virtually every game.

I don't think Saban will mind, considering our opponents rarely started their drives from inside the 25 against us.
