Nobody was beating us that year. It just wasn't going to happen.

Please, almost half the teams you played almost beat you that year. Weakest National Championship team in the modern era of football. Had Bama not fumbled away the game twice, and had Trich not dropped a wide open TD pass in the endzone Bama coasts to an easy win that year. Biggest fluke win in Iron Bowl history.

Yes. Was 20-17 Bama with less than 5 to play.

They outplayed you. Not a fluke.

Well, BAMA did make the SEC what it is today; so why let a couple of plays, that obviously were flukes, stand in the way of our God Given Right. 5-Peat DWI Btiches!

You forget the games you barely won though. Take 2009 Tennessee for example, what if they made that field goal?

07 LSU was a considerably better team than Camburn.

Dude just STFU. What if Terrence Cody hadn't blocked two field goals against UT? What if Upchurch had dropped that pass against AU in 09? What if OK State hadn't lost Iowa State.

There were tons of close calls. You can't just say "What if these bad ones had gone our way?" while ignoring the good ones that did go our way.

That doesn't matter. Every team has close games.

We beat the crap out of them for a half, and they returned the favor and won by 1 point. We had so many almost miraculous errors from fumbles to dropped TD's, to an easy INT that went for a TD for AU, etc that had we made even one of those plays, we win. My point isn't that Bama deserved a NC in 2008 or 2010, just that we were very close both of those years. Much closer than most realize.

08 Bama was a powerful team with a lot of heart, but not superior to Florida that year and no way we can assume they would have beaten Oklahoma (have we forgotten about Utah in the Sugar Bowl after the SECC?)

2010 Bama was certainly a team more talented than their record, but you're measured in wins and losses, not recruiting rankings. One loss is an aberration, three losses are a team that couldn't get it done.

That was better than a fifty point win.
