This was shaping up to be some type of Greek battle before Sark starting pissing himself. I still think it will be a great game. In all seriousness, thoughts on this game? Southern Cal is coming off of a bad bowl loss to Wisconsin, and HC Helton will have to work through kinks. Southern Cal definitely has blue chip talent on their roster. They lost their veteran QB Kessler, and I think that should be a big relief for Alabama.

Fun facts: Former UT QB Tee Martin is the offensive coordinator for the Trojans.

Alabama vs USC
Record: 5-2 (Alabama leads series)
Consensus All-Americans: 60 / 6th vs 80 / 2nd
NFL Draft Picks: 326 (10th) vs 493 (1st)
1st Round Picks: 52 (5th) vs 79 (1st)
***Weeks in AP Poll: 743 (5th) vs 742 (6th)
Weeks at AP #1: 74 (5th) vs 91 (4th)
All time W/L%: .718 (6th) vs .700 (8th)

New HC plus breaking in a new qb, lose JuJu Smith, I think Bama wins by 14+.

Ronald Jones II is a very good RB though, one of the best young RBs in the country for sure.

Game of two big names, but nothing more.

Alabama did a good job of trying to schedule a really good team to start the season, but ultimately failed in the end, no fault of their own.

I love the concept of this match-up. I love a lot of the first games next season.

I think USC gets murdered though.

Agreed. JuJu Smith is something else.

Kiffin cooks up something special for these left-coast fricks.

Bama's offense will be mediocre, but USC's will be worse

Kiffin will want to lay it on them as a special frick you to Haden. Probably one of the reasons that he stayed at Bama another year.

was the last time they played in aloha Bowl with QB Shula?

I know they played in 70,71 and another set in the late 70's. Must have had a Rose Bowl or 2 earlier.

Look at the recruits they have on their roster.
2015: #1 class
2014: #9 class
2013: #16 class
2012: #11 class

They will have a few wrinkles to sort out, as will Bama, but there is not going to be a massive talent difference on the field. It's a solid game and I would expect that they will have a good season next year. Maybe even win the Pac12.

I just wish the game were in Tuscaloosa or LA. So sick of these boring neutral site games. Suburban Dallas might be the most boring road game experience imaginable.

It really sucks. For "tailgating' I recommend staying at the hotel bar until an hour before the game

Wish the game was in LA

Bama will run them out of the stadium.

Plenty of talent on both sides. That's a big game for a first start at QB. Of course, Tide Rolls.

Agreed. This will be the most talented team Bama has faced to open the season during the Saban era. It had the markings of a fantastic matchup until Sark after dark happened.

Now I think us Bama fans will Have a fap fest but it won't be entertaining to anyone else.
