Brodie Croyle arm > Jeremy Johnson arm
To steal Brodie's dad's old bit, Johnson has something at the end of his arm that Brodie never will: an SEC Championship ring.

Playing anything in the NFL> scout team cfl qb.

Auburn is picked to win the West by many while A&M is picked to finish 6th for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

They are essentially the same team heading into this year. The Auburn hype has me completely befuddled.

That's because you aren't very smart. But you already knew that.

Stupidest fricking argument you could make.

EJ Manuel couldn't beat out Christian Ponder.
Jameis Winston couldn't beat out EJ Manuel.
AJ McCarron couldn't beat out Greg McElroy.
Johnny Manziel couldn't beat out Ryan Tannehill.
Tim Tebow couldn't beat out Chris Leak.

Do I need to continue?

I never get the point of this kind of analysis. What's the point of comparing two teams' secondaries, for example, since they don't play against each other? If Team A's secondary is better than Team B's, but Team A's QB or receivers are shite, where's the advantage for Team A in that comparison?

Absolutely no reason?...

auburn was a better team than A&M in 2014... higher ranked defense, higher ranked offense, and had a better record. Auburn also has a coach who has a championship track record at his current school.

Are there similarities?... sure. Is it perfectly reasonable to think auburn is better than A&M... of course.

A&M and Auburn both finished 8-5, and A&M beat Auburn at Jordan-Hare.

Ergo 2014 A&M > 2014 Aubie

Don't worry Auburn will fall on their faces again, they just can't deal with hype.

The love for Matthews is absolutely hilarious to me. You guys act like he is some all-world player that played 100% and was never injured.....I think a lot of you Auburn fans are in for a big letdown, with how big your talking him up.

Can you honestly make a case that Thomas is better than Drake at this point in their careers?

One gets injured and the other one doesnt. Both have similar skills. I'll take the one less injury prone

Advantage Auburn

by that logic you have to concede J.Allen over Lawson (which i already posted the OP got wrong)

Dont think Allen has the same talent as Lawson, but i will concede them being even as of now. I would still take Lawson

honestly, I dont either. Although i think Allen is really good and both have potential for long NFL careers.

but i dont think Thomas has shown the same talent as Drake either.

IMO, it's hard to compare any of those players due to differing schemes run by each team. That being said, I do think the OP went full retard/homer on his position comparisons.

i agree but reasonable posters like you and I can agree that K.Drake has shown more than R.Thomas at this point in their careers. Amirite?
