THE GAME: The No. 8/10 University of Alabama football team returns home for a matchup with the Arkansas Razorbacks. The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. CT kickoff on ESPN with Brad Nessler and Todd Blackledge on the call from the booth and Holly Rowe on the sidelines. Eli Gold and Phil Savage will handle the radio call on the Crimson Tide Sports Network, with Chris Stewart serving as the sideline reporter.
SERIES HISTORY: Alabama and Arkansas will meet for the 26th time in series history, with the Crimson Tide owning the series advantage 18-7. Alabama is currently riding an eight-game winning streak against the Hogs and has won five consecutive against Arkansas at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The two teams first met on Jan. 1, 1962, as the Tide defeated the Razorbacks, 10-3, in the Sugar Bowl en route to Alabama’s sixth National Championship.
ALABAMA HAS MOST WINS SINCE 2008: Dating back to the start of the 2008 season, Alabama has won 88 games, the most in the Football Bowl Subdivision.
GEORGIA EQUALS LARGEST ROAD WIN OVER TOP-10 TEAM: Alabama’s 28-point victory margin in the 38-10 win over Georgia is the largest winning margin ever by a Crimson Tide team against a top-10 team at an opposing site.
3-and-OUT: The Alabama defense has totaled 21 three-and-outs in the past two games to move the Crimson Tide into third place nationally at 6.8 per game.
FIRST HALF POINTS: With Adam Griffith’s 29-yard field goal with 4:05 left in the first quarter against Georgia, the Crimson Tide has scored in the first half of its last 108 games, the longest streak in the nation.
Arkansas
CENTURY MARK - RUSHING X2 In last week's game at Tennessee, the Razorbacks had two players rush for 100-plus yards in the same game for the 38th time in program history when Alex Collins had 154 rushing yards and Rawleigh Williams III totaled 100 yards on the ground. It was the first time Arkansas had two players rush for 100-plus in an SEC game since Nov. 3, 2007 against South Carolina.
BACK-TO-BACK 100-YD RECEIVING Junior wide receiver Drew Morgan became just the ninth player in school history to record back-to-back 100-yard receiving games with 155 receiving yards vs. Texas A&M and 110 at Tennessee. It was the first time a Razorback accomplished the feat in consecutive SEC games since Marcus Monk.
DEFENSE STEPPING UP Arkansas has limited four of its five opponents to their lowest scoring outputs of the season. The Razorbacks allow just 22.4 points per game despite playing three of the top 30 offenses in the nation and have allowed 13.2 points per game less than their opponents' season average.
One of just six teams nationally that have allowed two sacks or less this season.

I'm interested in this game. We saw Bama shut down Chubb and UGA's run game. If they can do the same to Arky, it doesn't bode well for LSU.

Interesting that before the current streak of 8 wins the series mark was 10-7. It goes to show how a long losing streak can change the complexion of a rivalry.
While I expect Bama to win, though I'd dearly love to be wrong, I'm hoping for a hard fought close game. If our defense continues to improve then the ball control style of offense we favor should help quite a bit.

It's about Alabama, Arkansas, and an upcoming game between the two. Completely appropriate for this board.

Bama vs nonconference, I'll put on the Bama board. Bama vs SEC, you'll see here.
Anyhow...
Looking forward to seeing what our defense does with Arky's run game and how Arky will respond with their passing game. I think C. Jones will be matched up with Arky's Drew Morgan.
I have yet to watch Arkansas play this season, have yall been a more up the gut running game or do you have people that can get to the edge? The edge, outside of a busted assignment up the middle, is where teams seem to have a little bit of success running on us.

Alabama has won 8 in a row.... (Note: 2007 Vacated, what BS)
Bama makes in 9 in a row.... Saban does not lose to Arkansas... Especially at home... Also the trend is getting worse...
2013 52-0
2011 38-14
2009 35-7
2007 41-38 (Vacated), Sabans first year...
