NFL franchises are not infallible. The Seahawks made a lot of surprising assistant hires.

That being said, I think Alabama would be much better off having kept Grubb. They seem to work really well together. But it is DeBoer’s offense. The last time Grubb was on his own was not a good run. He took over as OC at Fresno State when DeBoer left for Indiana. When DeBoer is hired back as head coach (and Grubb is retained) the offense improves again.

You honestly think that the Seattle Seahawks, a multi billion dollar organization, would hire an OC that wasn’t running the offense?

They just fired a head coach because he was offensively stuck in the mud. They are desperate to succeed with a brand new young head coach and are now trying the college football model. It was a shot-in-the-dark hire, and they chose a local to try to get the job done. Truth be told, Grubbs wife was just too lazy to pack.

It’s hilarious to me that the gunps have talked themselves into DeBust being even close to Saban lol

If that’s what you gleaned from the statement, you need better reading comprehension.

You do realize this whole thread is about whether Alabama will have 10 wins right? That is not a super high bar at Alabama. Even the Mikes, Shula and Dubose, had ten win seasons. Every Alabama head coach since 1958 that coached a full season at Alabama had at least one 10 win season while there. The fact you are acting like it is a ridiculous idea shows you are just being emotional instead of objective.

How often has a 1st-year SEC coach won 10 regular season games?

Didn't a guy named Kevin Sumlin do that?

He actually is pretty dang close man, his office is in the complex and he's made himself available to the entire program.

You want objective? Vegas set Bamas Win/Loss at 9.5 with them favored to go under. Can’t be more objective than that

Good. If all the money is on the under the line should move. I like 8.5 or 9 a lot better than 9.5.

How much did you wager? You seem certain after all so it is free money.

How many returning starters on offense and defense?

New coarch, new schemes, new terminology.

About half of the scholarship players left when sabben retired.

I would probably bet under.

Bama’s roster with Saban in 2007 is laughable compared to what they are now.

This is about as right a statement as you will ever see. Terry Grant was starting RB for goodness sakes. 2007 Bama was a 5 win team AT BEST that got 7 someway, somehow.

You’re really gonna go with “I got mixed up between the DB and the OT?”

That's like "I got mixed up between died in a plane crash and he was eaten by cannibals".
