"I wouldn't say it's a rivalry, but it's definitely a big game," said Alabama sophomore offensive tackle Jedrick Wills. "It's not equal to Auburn, but it's still a big game. I wouldn't consider it a rivalry."

Alabama linebacker Mack Wilson is a Montgomery guy. He's been around a little longer.

"Traditionally-wise, I feel like they're both two big games," Wilson said. "As for me, I just look at it like it's another game but I know that Auburn is more like the rival game, I feel like."

Alabama defensive back Shyheim Carter respects the rivalry but said he's treating this line another game week.

For the fans that have been here before me and my time, it's a big rivalry for them," Carter said. "So we try to keep that going."

Most all of them were in grade school last time Vols beat Bama.

I'm glad they feel that way. Maybe they should seriously consider letting that meaningless, outdated "rivalry" game go so the SEC can move forward with better scheduling and do away with these stupid permanent opponent games. It's really only Bama and Auburn (maybe Georgia) who is holding the SEC back on revamping the scheduling. Nobody else really cares that much about keeping the permanent opponent format.

Why would any current Bama players consider Tennessee anything more than a helpless victim?

I don’t need them to feel that rivalry any more than I need a chainsaw to hate the wood it’s cutting. The players are instruments of my hate, not hate itself.

Go to hell, Tennessee.

I wonder if he'll turn his own school in for it this time around.
