We sat on the East side on seats 1 and 2 right next the the aTm fans at the Bama/aTm game and they were loud. That god awful yell was loud and the what ever you want to call the NSYNC/guy cheer squad doing their boy band dance moves just made it that much worse. It kind of felt like Bama was getting beat by a bunch of gay people.

If you've ever seen the movie "The Breakup" where Vince Vaughn gets beat up by the gay brother of Jennifer Anniston is kinda how I felt.

1985 it was stll loud you younger guys act like it was 1932.

Like I said - the game LSU registered an earthquake when Hodson, hit Eddie Fuller was 1988. You were 3 so you consider that the old days - and I guys they were to you. But the argument that the article was from 1985 means nothing. Those of us sitting through games from the 80's through now know the loud stadiums are still the loud stadiums.

If you can't acknowledge the Deloss Dodds proclaiming he is going to make a complaint about the crowd noise and it stopped Texas from being able to play the game is at least a sign its a loud stadium - nothing will ever impress you so its a waste of time.

So your right - Kyle Field is not one of the loudest stadiums. They always seem to list them as such because the media has always loved the Aggies. Its a conspiracy.

The big bad University stadiums of the Southwest Conference in 1985 - which for some reason never rustled Texas' jimmies:

This. Also all LSU fans were born in 1990.

I was born in 1982, but using an article from 1985 to make an argument about noise levels is asinine.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State were in the SWC from 1915-1920.

Have you ever heard of the earthquake game at LSU? It was in 1988. I think it is still the loudest LSU has ever been - and LSU is the loudest.

To think things were not loud then is just an assumption from kids that it couldn't have been so. You were not there so you can't possibly know.

LSU Earthquake Game. 4th down. 1988.

Is that asinine. 1988. The helmets were not leather. People were making alot of noise before you graced this earth with your excellence.

That game registered as an actual earthquake is the science dept.

Bama beating A&M doesn't change the fact that the stadium is loud.

Ironically since I just linked the Earthquake Game - that Bama game was called the Hurricane Bowl because Bama had their QB hurt so refused to show up for the game citing bad weather. Espn was there and showed clips of students laying out by the pool and playing flag football on a beautiful day.

Even back then Bama won - but was chicken shite about games they thought they would lose. Lets just not show up. Nice.

Once again...

No one said Kyle Field wasn't loud. It's the suggestion that Bama didn't know what they were in for when they go to Kyle Field regarding noise (also heat, apparently ), as other Aggies proclaimed.

In the other thread where you posted Bleacher Report rankings listing Kyle Field as 4th loudest, someone else posted multiple links ranking Tiger Stadium as a consensus loudest/most hostile stadium in the country.

Now, I don't know if KF is louder than DV. I've never been. I do know that Bama played in DV at night last year at its best. They came out with a W. If Kyle Field is that much louder than DV at night to the extent that it will be like nothing they've ever seen then apparently those people who do the rankings for a living i.e. Bruce Feldman have no idea what they're talking about.

We know Kyle Field is loud. It won't be unlike Bama has ever seen before, however.

I agree with that completely. I don't mean that - Bama has seen it been there. LSU is loudest. I am just reacting to people trying to say it is not loud. They LSU series Kyle would get loud but it is so hot it doesnt have the same punch as a night game or October November games - kinda like anywhere.

I basically said the same thing you did. If you read a ton of articles over time - and avg. them crudely. It comes out LSU, Fla A&M.

I did a spinoff thread to grab more opinions - jump over there.
