Ok. So of you are #5 out of #14 then it's expected you are in a down year.

My bad folks. Criteria has changed.

This was supposed to be a down year for Alabama yet they will again finish much higher than Auburn.
was it?

That’s weird, considering Alabama fans were bragging about how much better Alabama would be in comparison to Auburn during the off-season after landing all of those transfers.

Yes. 5th in the SEC would be a down year for Nate Oats coached teams.

Yes, being predicted to finish 5th after winning the league would be considered a down year by most reasonable people. In a fourteen team league that is middle of the pack.

Based on this thread, finishing well below expectations is a down year. Got it. Makes sense. But matching or finishing above preseason expectations is also a down year according to this thread.

That is quite the conundrum.

Bama wasn't predicted to even finish in the top 4 of the SEC this season.

Because the top 4 weren't big time picks atop the whole country or anything Idiot. And you were still falsely ranked preseason ahead of this Auburn roster. Fraudulent as frick.

No, really? I think, or at least hope, most people here realize that basketball and football are different sports. But sometimes I wonder.

Based on your response, you don’t think that football standings are determined by a game or two. But looking at standings year in and year out proves that is just not true.

Trolling and shite talking is much more effective if it makes sense.

Usually the most talented football team will win. Upsets happen a lot more often in basketball. The standings at the top are always tight. Being picked to finish 5th in the SEC now isn’t a down year, especially with how good the conference is as a whole. I mean based on that preseason prediction, equates to a 4-6 seed in the tournament.

That makes sense though. Bama's better than Auburn.

You should be worried about Alabama football HC DeBoer He is the real deal. I believe he will do much better than what Nick Saban has done all those years coaching Alabama to championships.
