Alabama has 864 wins with its first recorded season in 1892.

Auburn has 708 wins with its first recorded season in 1892.

That is a difference of 156 wins. Based on a 12 game season Alabama could go winless for 13 seasons and Auburn could go undefeated for 13 seasons just to tie.

Didn't realize it was that far apart honestly. Bama's closer to 900 than Auburn is to 800

duh, that's because Auburn is a perennial 7-8 win team. Sorry Aubs, the numbers don't lie.

Yes, and as I said the the "teams with the most wins the last 5 seasons" thread, Alabama is Auburn's daddy and that isn't going to change.

Top 10 teams with the most wins ever:

1) Michigan
3) Yale
2) Notre Dame
4) Texas
5) Nebraska
6) Ohio State
Tied 7) Oklahoma and Alabama
9) Penn State
10) Harvard

Congratulations! When you have been paying players since the 1920's even according to a former bammer student trainer, had your supporters that control the Alabama legislature appoint bammer grads to the Auburn Board of Trustees during the the 1920's, 1930's, and 1940's which just coincidently coincides with the worst period in the history of Auburn football, and get your boosters and coaches to hire private investigators in an effort to get Auburn on probation as far back as the 1950's even according to the SEC commissioner at the time you probably should be way ahead

Alabama is also the only team to break 800 wins twice.!!!!!*

*Because they also forfeited more games for cheating than any other team in the history of college football

If cheating was/is so bad, why has the program not been shut down? lol.

A Nebraska fan should know that not all immoral behavior is punished by the NCAA. A lot of your success is built on recruiting rapist like Christian Peter and woman beaters like Lawrence Phillips and pumping them full of steroids

As I said in the other thread; I would love to see the totals since scholly limits went into place and everyone was playing on an even field.

Scholarship limits first went into place in 1973. Since then:

Bama: 360 (this number includes vacated wins for cheating and all)

Auburn: 335

Because college football isn't suicidal enough to kill a major program.

Only program that has gotten the death penalty was a nobody.

Before 1973 a school could provide as many scholarships as they could afford to cover. This is why if you look back at the history of NCAA Football you see the same teams winning the NC over and over and over again. They were the richest schools. Bear Bryant admitted more than once that he was such a tPOS that he would offer scholarships to guys just for them to ride the pine for 4 years so they wouldn't go play at his competition.
